Hopefully the NTP one still works - the lighting is so bad on that route in particular it puts me off playing it
Agreed, I think either then or about 3pm, there's quite a busy spell with lots of loco swaps going on if I recall.
I'm also going to purchase it via the JT site this time as they say it helps them out a little bit more.
Knotweeds, I like that haha! I tend to call them RIPs as they do like to break down or crack a bogie, but you certainly won't be resting in peace...
I think the era is fine, but really could do with an upgrade. It's also lifeless without a Valenta HST which would be on the majority of mainline...
Most definitely, I haven't touched the DLOGW timetable (but have it just for the really good BR blue 52 reskin) because the OHLE and current ugly...
The old G&SW is fascinating; the P&WJR too. Keith Ross's Port Road route for TSC was excellent, and it prompted me to finally go up and explore...
It did indeed, here's a photo I've found of the other end: https://www.flickr.com/photos/66289212@N07/10595037175 Sad to see how much of a state...
The 126s were really bizarre asymmetrical things, but I suppose an interesting solution to the gangway cab problem as discussed on another thread....
I went for: Northern Transpennine - the lighting is pretty bad which puts me off running that route, probably my number 1 pick for a remaster as...
You're quite right I'm getting my DMUs mixed up, I stand corrected! In any case, that style of body was very common.
While I would certainly like to see a 70s era ECML route, the Midland was fascinating in its own right pre electrification, being a steam era time...
Have a great Christmas everybody, and very much looking forward to what looks to be a great year ahead for addons.
That would be a great feature for winter runs, certainly at least the 45 and 40 could do with steam heat equipment. If we do get a NTP remaster,...
Not really a 'fault' as implemented in TSW6 I suppose, but towards the end of steam you'd often get steam leaking everywhere as locos became less...
This would be a dream route for me, I'd love to see the old Snow Hill in game. Perhaps with steam simulation being looked at again it's not as...
Your locos for TSC are fantastic, I remember when your 56xx addon was released and it really upped the game in terms of what steam simulation...
I think a 310 would be much more interesting proposition than a 321, plus it would partially solve the 304 problem on Preston - Crewe. AC slam...
I really like the 31 in TSW, the model has a lot of character, especially in the cab and the texturing is very good. The sounds don't need too...
While it was a loco addon, things went quite quiet with the 86 when it was over to QA, then suddenly updates came about a week or two off release...
I recall it was a particular quirk of the Cumbrian coast due to the 150s being prohibited as not clear for the restrictive loading gauge.
It would indeed. UK practice since the early 20th century for jointed track to be laid in 60ft (18.288m) panels (before then around 40-45ft...
Not sure about the mid 80s, but certainly by the 90s 142s were very common on the Cumbrian Coast, often working in multiple with the 153.
[MEDIA] This gives a good flavour of what to expect, some 4 years after the route is set. The scenes around Carlisle also show how well JT have...
I don't see the issue personally, I quite like TSS's videos, they are well put together and he provides a good balance between the good and bad...
Indeed, a product of the Maryport & Carlisle being unusual as an early railway that retained it's independence right up until grouping.
That's a shame, I quite liked using the manual gearbox on the TSC version. I suppose British Steel Workington would have had their own shunters...
The single line section at Parton might result in a wait. Also quite likely to be held coming into Carlisle. I hope the other side of Whitehaven...
In JT's case, they've had this approach for some time now and there's a lot of advantages to focusing on one area. Large hubs probably take up...
The section around Flimby and the last section into Whitehaven is quite scenic to be fair. You can get good views of Dumfries & Galloway right out...
I could be wrong, but I seem to recall the developer behind Victory works expressing an interest in doing a short route and a small steam loco for...
Perhaps I'm getting ahead of myself, but I wonder if 03s could be seen around that part of the world? It would also be a great opportunity to...
Along with the Northern end of the Cumbrian coast as far as Whitehaven, some fantastic announcements today *Edit* SNAP!
The 104s were pretty much the bread and butter DMUs on workings out of Manchester towards the North West, so a 104 in BR blue would still be an...
The implications of this possibly makes this even more exciting than the new JT route! I'd love to see more steam content to run on the West...
This is fantastic news!!! The 101 is one of my favourite units to drive in TSW and this will add some much needed variety. The pressed steel style...
In fairness, gangway cabs have been a feature for a very long time now, certainly on the Southern right back to steam days (4-COR for example),...
Blackpool tramway would be great, probably before 2012 when the tramway was 'modernised' and most of the older trams retired, although I suppose...
Very interesting, I might try driving with the rheostatic brake isolated next time I run in the autumn .
That reminds me of an amusing tale I heard about the REPs... When the 4 REPs were propelling 1 or more 4-TC sets, quite often there would be a...
Very interesting, thank you for sharing. As an aside, something I had no idea about was how late regular 110mph running came into effect on the...
A late 70s Woodhead would be great, the TSC classic BR Blue version of the old Woodhead route was excellent. Also if we had the 506, that would...
The tragedy is that plans were starting to come together for reopening as the old station was being pulled down! :( I quite agree, the current...
Absolutely, although sadly as others have said very unlikely. The 1906 station at Snow Hill was one of the finest stations in the country and...
The 31 would also be very much at home on that route
Probably not one for me as a modern route, but I have to say it looks fantastic and very well put together. Well done to the team behind it! Maybe...
2J58 1803 Blackpool North - Manchester Victoria (Blackpool Branches & Class 31) Presumably a loco covering for a failed DMU, it's great fun to...
Thought I'd try the guard mode on this route, according to the manual it looks like you can use the whistle to give the 'right away' to the driver...
Interesting, I thought TSW was much more fussy when it came to the correct electrification or in this case electrification at all. For example, I...
Just wanted to say thanks for making this. Fascinating to pick a random day of the year on JT's 80s route for example and see what the weather was...
