If i buy the BR101 but dont own the route it was originally for would it still be usable when it layers into other routes thanks

I completed this on xbox and got a platinum but I did do it when it was 1st released so the updates could have bugged it.
I've just few jobs the whole length and noticed how empty the stations are i mean nothing no one too be seen.

There has been a patch today for ALV so now if you use safety you might get points for doing so
