I am not too sure if the 68 accelerates quicker than a 170 if I'm honest.
Top speed is 100mph so it is a fast loco, obviously it wouldn't get to that speed on Fife Circle (without speeding) though ;).
It isn't the best idea (to reuse the 66) if I'm honest but DTG haven't developed anything (that we know of) to use on UK freight alongside the 66 :(.
That is an interesting idea, it really depends if the Chiltern Mainline or a route based around York or Scarborough is being developed though ;)....
Well, DRS liveried 68s did operate alongside the ScotRail examples so it could be possible :). We definitely need something other than a Class...
