OK dude, pull the front left shoulder buttons, it will stop a valve/lap then press more to apply brakes....
You've got to go beyond 'tap' to apply the breaks.... I'm no expert at this as I need to fully release the brake pressure and repeat the process...

Finding a few locos, class 45 and 47 on NTP seem to need a lot of brake discharge than before. Just releasing doesn't seem to set to coast anymore...
