Only just (2019 according to Wikipedia). If the line were to be made, I would hope it could be set pre electrification, as a properly constructed...
London to Birmingham has been suggested numerous times and the answer is the same on each occasion - too long. The best chance is we would get...
I don't think so, as some other routes have recorded in excess of 200 or even 300 miles/km.
I'm quite intrigued as to what the board game department does - jigsaws, MouseTrap, Cluedo or is it more sophisticated than that?
Waterford on to Limerick Junction is also quite nice - did that years ago with a 001 Class loco hauling some extremely tatty Park Royal coaches....
Would be a nice alternative to the fast route via Falkirk, scope for layers too - Class 101, maybe at a pinch the 37, 40 and 47 too.
Given the guy has an avatar which appears to show someone about to be run over by a train (which has been reported and appears ignored by the...
Yellow submarine - flush the toilet once (sorry...).
Nice find Wonter.
Wasn't sure whether to post this as a bug or not... Anyhow in an attempt to assess my most played TSW2 route, started running through the...
Well go back to the days of the UIC side corridor stock and those hard 2nd class plastic seats were a shade of coral pink, same as in the...
Good call Bescot, sadly sounds like another fire and forget release for what is the closest thing we have in the game to a traditional pre 80’s EMU.
Ah the real fun playing PC games was when we were using MS-DOS. Each game needed a different config.sys and autoexec.bat . Tornado would not run...
On the subject of rain, why on some routes can you still hear the rain sound in tunnels? Just come off a runon Rhein Ruhr Osten and both tunnels...
That's why it would need to be accompanied by a "break the glass" feature which allows you to delete trains causing a standoff or as a last resort...
Ah yes, but then the double edged sword comes into play... "Put your bleddy headphones on, too much train noise." "Okay dear..." A few minutes...
I was actually the route builder on that one, with a lot of help from other members of the team. Of course it looks rather old now and quite a few...
I think the suggestion was meant to be ironic... Now Wutachtalbahn, there's another one from TS (and Zusi 2) which could also lay the foundation...
Yes so it would have to be added as part of a reworked and reliveried, "Spirit Of Early Diesel" DLC!
Or go back to MSTS days, one developer had sourced a very dour voice, "Right away, driver..."
In theory, the "brand new" Class 20's could be layered in on a Railtour from the Nottingham area, coming off the Uttoxeter line at Crewe South,...
For Spirit Of Steam you wouldn't even have the buzzer - you would be looking back from the cab for the station staff or guard to give "right away"...
What I would *like* it to be... Rhine Valley Koln to Koblenz (or how far 90km takes you). Koln to Trier via Gerolstein (or how far 90km takes...
We are still waiting for someone to buy the SIAM Lime Street 1958 and take a peak! Unfortunately these games were always expensive and £30 is a...
Indeed. The only diesels you could conceivably layer in to SOS are: Class 08 (1953 onwards). Class 20 (1957). Class 24 (1958). Class 26 (1958)....
Again without being political, why are Steam even continuing to sell stuff in Russia, especially given the horrific images we have seen coming out...
This, basically. And if it's yet another inter urban yawn fest with red Electric Karts and Dosto's, haven't got the slightest bit of interest. I...
I would be more inclined to buy a NYC subway route, maybe slightly retro with Redbird type cars than yet another 30 mile NE inter urban route.
Would love to see something from the Balkans.
I have already passed on Harlem (too short), I won't buy another Rivet route until WCL gets some love (plus Luzern is another short modern route)....
It all starts with the basics. Fix the broken save game, fix the lighting, fix the sounds. As I commented in the similar PC area threads I get the...
The save feature is there and should work. In fact it does work on some routes but the outcome is random. Some scenarios are too long to complete...
TBH without the core updates in particular the saved game, I am rapidly losing interest, period. An attempt at the "Last Resort" Journey scenario...
Generally Journey mode, at least until (if) the save game is ever fixed to allow you to keep train jumping and build up a full day on the route.
Let's just hope they don't base them on the old Kuju MSTS jointed track sound, which was like someone hitting an anvil then slowed down by 50%!
Oh I fully agree Alex, was simply going on what the current parameters seem to be. If DTG really want to revolutionise TSW in the 5 years going...
Indeed something like Coventry to Wolverhampton, maybe including the bypass route via Bescot for freight traffic would be outstanding, regardless...
Yes but some of these threads have been running for a while. The whole point in having an “in house” company provided forum is to facilitate...
Yep. Just alluded to that in the better sounds thread. There is definitely a feeling of moving back from such close contact with the player base...
Please try reading what I posted... York to Newcastle is around 80 miles. Current maximum TSW route length is around 55 miles. 80 - 55 = 25...
So I'm guessing this is the thread to respond to the OP... York to Newcastle as it stands is at least 20 - 25 miles too long for a TSW route, so...
Compared to other West Midlands routes or (say) part of the Marches Line, this is not really the best candidate.
DTG have not announced any more French routes, LGV or otherwise. So far as we know, there are no plans to release an official third party route...
They are so fixated on Scouse Steam, I think everything else has been swept under the carpet. We have this thread, we have the "Niggles" thread,...
I suspect they sampled the sounds from a contemporary preserved version probably retrofitted with Leyland engines (and botched the mix). the 101's...
Yes with hindsight they could have tested the water with a steam loco DLC for WSR. We probably would have whined and grizzled about 25 MPH etc....
I think they are just so fixated on Spirit Of Steam, everything else has gone to the dogs. The enthusiasm and passion we see in the streams does...
Definitely set in the 1980’s which is when I travelled over the line. Silberlinge stock, albeit painted ocean blue and cream, for that extra bit...
Or an understanding of what the game is about especially if, as rumoured, they are using Indian call centre drones to do the testing. Aside from...
So can you detail what steam locos or excursions use the line? Although I have heard of it, sadly probably a little too obscure for a commercial...
Separate names with a comma.
