TSC has always stuttered but that was very obviously tile loading and was improved by using an SSD. I don’t remember TSW hanging like this when it...
I don’t think anyone is seriously suggesting that DTG develop their own game engine from scratch. If they are then they clearly don’t have a clue...
Just because you think it’s a gimmick doesn’t mean others see it that way but it’s a very fair point re season etc. What would be neat would be a...
Absolutely, but we don’t have to feel sorry for them, that’s their blinkin job! At no point should you buy a product with the caveat that ‘here it...
I always said the worst part about TSC was the DTG content. Locos with poor sounds, visuals and physics, massively inconsistent route build...
I saw that and totally disagree with what he’s saying. Aside from the humongous chip on his shoulder about FS2020 & Microsoft (and lets not forget...
I agree, I’m wracking my brains to think of an opportunity to finally address some of these problems. A new game maybe, something like TSW3...
Good God. Everything that guy is demonstrating how to avoid is exactly what TSW looks like. Perhaps DTG should collectively sit down and watch...
I hate this attitude of ‘if you don’t like it don’t buy it’. I think it’s absolutely indicative of a business that is out of ideas and likely out...
Without wishing to sound like a broken record, it became very clear very quickly that this ‘new lighting built from scratch’ is stretching the...
DTG Alex, - The stuttering is absolutely apparent on the YouTube video, as is the short draw distance. It is exactly the same stuttering that is...
The only caveat to this stuttering business is that on the first run of a route it is clearly compiling or cacheing information. I always found...
That’s the revised lighting, by design it makes everything many many times brighter. To re-iterate, the stuttering IS NOT the stream…watch the fps...
Swing and a miss. Talk about missing the point entirely.
At least now hopefully people will drop the pretence that this is a ‘new’ game.
Perhaps, but this only started around SEHS. It isn’t on every tunnel, and I don’t recall seeing it once on IOW. It’s very poor indeed.
Also, as was entirely predictable, every lighting issue that has plagued the game for years is still there in spades. I don’t know what this was...
That’s the easy way out I guess. If this can’t be sorted out once and for all then I fear that UE4 is not a suitable engine for a train simulator....
Just think, this save game thing has been an issue before I’d imagine you’d ever heard the words DTG or TSW ;) It’s great it’s finally being...
One might argue that fixing the save game issue should have taken priority over something like a new UI. Which was more game breaking when the...
Still an update :) Wasn’t it more than the Steam switch? I seem to remember they changed how the files were packaged which sped up load times...
The adjustable shaders they brought in when they saw a good job was done by the guy who’s name I forget. They also added the fast load thing...
I never said it did.
Almost everything you list there are features that exist in the UE4 engine. DTG have simply enabled them, and as far as the clouds go then...
That’s all fair points. Just to clarify, when I said ‘you’ it was a generic you rather than you specifically but I totally get it doesn’t come...
You should be used to it by now, this must be roughly the 10th time we’ve had this spiel since CSX:HH was first released.
Stop being so, well, DTG about everything.
I’m afraid you’re going to be sorely disappointed if you’re expecting a new game. There is absolutely nothing in TSW3 that couldn’t have existed...
I used to, but as time has gone on I’m afraid I have to agree. Sadly a lot of what he says has to be taken with a pinch of salt these days.
