Nope they are different. The LIRR uses M7’s and Metro North uses M7A’s, Different ATC design and seating arrangements.

The 6 doesn’t run R142A’s anymore, only R62A’s. All of the 6 line’s R142A’s were moved to the 7 Line for CBTC and the 4 Line for extra Rolling Stock.

I think they should focus on either 1 Train at a time or one line. Such As: Lexington Ave Line 4,5,6 or just the 6. JMZ all in one is a big project
