I don’t care about toilets but what I do care about is opening windows for mk2s & mk1s and that you could actually look out so say you are behind...
No, it is ugly
I did not do much on the midland but as you say it does bring back memories but in real life that rake would be better as it is not air cons.
Looks hellire!
In the comments I want everyone to put something kind about the pacers. There is nothing kind to say about them.
Pacers are terrible they were noisy they were ugly and all round terrible units and the reason so many have been preserved is they are cheap and...
That gave me a good laugh:D
Because it is hideous
That is hideous
Agreed
Fair enough
It is not just 222s almost all second generation units I just find hideous.
I did like 87s a bit but much preferred roarers especially 83s
They look odd and ugly.
That looks awful.
I think it is incredibly ugly
I get why people liked them but when I was bashing 218s I always stayed away from 232s as I thought they were ugly and sounded horrid.
I think they look best in blue and yellow
Correct.
I think they said sometime next year.
I could not agree more if they add them with tb10 or tb11 happy days, hellfire but if they add them with that pielstick or mtu 16 rubbish I would...
You took the words right out of my mouth.
I am shocked in my opinion NTP is by far the best route as for once it is the actual timetable from 1983 and peaks are just hellfire.
I agree with 26s & 27s as they sound hellfire but I would also like 24s for the north as for most of their lives Inverness had them and later on...
I like the route suggestion but I would only get it if it was in the seventies or eighties so it was pre push pull and you got proper AC electrics...
I know it adds up but it I cannot see that being the route I think Man Vic-Blackpool North would make more sense and is almost exactly 48 miles...
No it really is
I do sometimes do other routes but I mainly stick to ntp as I love thrashing peaks and buckets across the pennines but I do also love driving...
I am almost positive the route is Man Vic to Blackpool as to me it makes the most amount of sense.
I do respect them for what they did as sound aside they did what they were built for which was bombing down the East Coast at 100 mph and they did...
I just can’t stand the noise or how they make everything vibrate.

I could not agree more i hate pacers but I am really looking forward to the route as long as it has a few decent diesels but unfortunatly if it...
25s used to work oil trains throughout and in the sommer worked some passenger services especially sommer saturday stuff.
33s and 42s espiecally 42s never got near Man Vic but belive it or not in June 1985 it was a regular Portsmouth-Leads and it would be a 33 to...
33s never got to Man Vic apart from possibly an adex but I can’t confirm that. The closest they got was Swansea and Cardiff to Man Pic.
Yes it is definetly set in 1983.
Cromptons are limited to 85 and they did actually have a mechanism to cut the engine if they are under power over 85 but 33/2s did not have this...
Agreed.
I agree I think we should be fine for peaks and duffs well they go without saying which is anoying as peaks and buckets are so much better.
I agree this route has loads of potential but I would be distrought if they added pacers with it, not only as I can’t stand the sight of them and...
Ever heard of freedom of speech?
I could not agree more.
Oh, that’s depressing. :(
We should not be getting Pacers as the code says diesel electric and diesel mechanical and Pacers and all second gen dmus are diesel hydrolic...
If they did that with 218s I would be the happiest person in the world that is assuming they are with tb10 or tb11 engines which as they were...
No Scotland and England definetly don’t have auto trains.
Separate names with a comma.
