I was lucky enough to have today off! I am very pleased with the performance and if we play like that in all games it might come home again! Saka's first goal was a real banger.
No, I wasn’t in school today. But then, I’m 64 so I’ve got an excuse. I remember being on a training course in 1998 when England played Tunisia. We begged the leader to let us watch the game and he agreed as long as we stayed late and started early the next morning, We readily agreed.
That was the Stirling goal if I remember rightly and was a brilliant assist from Kane on that one. Yes all credit to Iran cause they never gave up even what happened to their keeper early on: I've never seen 14 minutes of injury time before!
Yes, if England manages to injure their opponent's starting goalkeeper in every game, they may just have a chance!
Let's see if that's going to happen on Friday England vs USA. The way I see it it's simply EPL Chelsea vs Arsenal Pulisic vs Saka and North London Derby Matt Turner Arsenal USA Goalkeeper vs Tottenham Hotspurs Harry Kane
It's going to be interesting, especially as you say that they are familiar with each other to an extent. It may be a little premature now but I think the US team won't embarrass themselves while hosting in four years.
I know I shouldn’t cheer Saudi Arabia due to their human right record but I was cheering them on against Argentina today. What a result (and loads more injury time).
