I have tried to suggest various routes across different time eras and rolling stocks. They are all southern-based routes as that is where I am, and I feel there is no point trying to suggest routes I have never used. Probably a 3rd party will do one or more as dtg seam to forget that the South and West do exist, and that silly ban on 3rd rail. That cuts a lot of the south underground/metro/subway lines out of the list that people are suggesting. They can't stop forgetting that the South does exist as there are a lot of routes getting suggested for the south now it's the same with the west. I now the the first group doesn't like giving out licences like GWR and SWR but there are more companies that probably would be happy to give dtg there license and heritage railway for the free advertising that the game will give
More specifically south east 3rd rail (i.e. Electrostars) due to the number of routes released with them.
But saying a 3rd rail ban just because of Electrostars is silly, a ban on using the class 66 who'd be much better or for Germany use the br 363
Even the home counties have gone neglected for years, since DTG still hasn't made a version of the GWML that goes out as far as Oxford or beyond! I know the common consensus is that GWE needs to be fully remade before it can go to Oxford, but still - definitely something DTG should consider.
Doing anything with GWE, need loco pack or a new western based route set in fist grate western or GWR modern day route is very unlikely because of licensing dtg lost gwr a few years ago now
Dtg haven't released anything gwr based for a long time if they did have gwr licensing there who'd be more routes in the west and more on GWE from loco dlc on tsw even on tsc there's been no new western routes or loco packs released with licensing
I wouldn't object to another third rail route but set back in an earlier era and the South Western Division of BR Southern Region. Depending on location, SUB, EPB, VEP, CIG and REP/TC units. If they did something like Southampton to Weymouth you could include the Class 33/1 push pull operation between Bournemouth and Weymouth together with boat trains to and from the Quay Line. Could layer in Class 47's on the inter regional trains to and from Poole too.
anything with more regular pantograph trains, preferrably modern traction as they are slightly less ugly, with decent speeds up to 90, 100 or more mph (anything around 130-160 kmh), and stops not being only S-Bahn like - this is what I like on the ECML on some services, where you actually spend decent time driving, not only start-stopping constantly
