I think it would be nice if we had a space in the forums where we could talk to each other about anything that isn't related to TSW. Be it the weather, other games, or life in general. Having a separate forum section for that would allow us to do this without interfering with the TSW discussion. Yeah sure I could go out and find other forums to discuss these things but what if I want to discuss it with youuu? Private messages could work but public threads allow new people with different insight to join in the discussion as well! Now I do realise I'm being really cheeky with this suggestion but I wanted to put this here so that if, in a few years time, DTG decide to restore the Off-Topic subforum, they have a suggestion for it buried here. I am, however, really glad that the content has been archived, not deleted (at least for now), and is therefore still accessible.
Problem is, prototype talk or discussion about other sims doesn’t really belong in GD. There’s a promising looking new tram game in the offing, called The Tram, which is not any sort of competition to TSW but there is nowhere now to let people know who might be interested.
Had they gone ahead and deleted general discussion I was thinking about making a similar jokey thread about general discussion So the mods don't take action against you
there was a thread about The Bus in OT recently, i’d still like somewhere on these forums to speak about that but there’s no place for that discussion. removing OT made absolutely zero sense to me, it was the most inoffensive subforum by a mile
