So here's how you can run a few trips in timetable mode like a shift on the RR. I suggest only using a 6 or 8 car set. You can choose either M3 or M7. Which ever one you choose will be your train the whole time.
Start out with the 10:50 trip from Penn to Belmont park. It starts out in the West side yard with a few minutes in penn station. Then you travel in service to Belmont stopping at woodside and jamaica. After arriving at belmont, go into free roam, switch ends and now that train will be running lite to Jamaica. At jamaica, free roam again and you'll be running in service non stop back to belmont. Free roam again and run lite back to jamaica but this time you'll end at a siding east of jamaica. Now your done. This will be about 2-2 1/2 hours long.

You can do the same with the 18:00 out of Jamaica it in reverse order. If you want, you can change up the consist but Be warned, the stop markers for these will be set for a six car so if you run an 8 car, stop about 90-100 yards past your stop marker to platform the whole 8-car consist. You'll run lite from the siding to belmont, free roam and run in service back to Jamaica (at jamaica, stop at the end of the platform if you're an 8-car to clear the signal on the east end of Jamaica). Free roam again and run lite back to Belmont for an in service trip back to penn stopping at jamaica and woodside. After stopping at penn, you'll be bringing your train back to the West side yard. This will be another 2-2 1/2 hours.

Bonus trip: after getting to West side yard, if you free roam, you can walk back to penn station and you'll be able to take a 10-car train to hicksville making all stops (except for Hollis, Queens village, Bellerose and Floral Park). This trip will add another hour and change to your session. Be warned, it's going to be about a 15 min wait at penn for your departure to hicksville. If you feel like one more, wait at hicksville for a train back to Penn about 25 minutes after your arrival at hicksville. All of this will equal to about 5 hours. Add the first set of trips at the start of this post, and you've just done a shift's worth of trips on the LIRR.
