The A train is from 207 street to far rockaway. There is a shuttle train to Lefferts blvd & to the other part of of far rockaway. The A train is one of the most longest subway line in nyc.The R32 is the oldest subway car in the world it is going to be retired in a few months or a year it has been used on the A train for a long time. The R179 is not being used on the A train right now due to the couplers being broken. The R46 is used commenly on the A train shuttles & on regular A train shuttles. The R40 slant is used on the A train until 2009 when they were put them in redbird reef, they are used in the train of many metals service for the nyc transit museum. The line is only 31 miles & is half underground & in parts of queens it's overground until far rockaway. It is really easy to design because of it being mostly underground. They could connect this route to the nec & the lirr because the A train stops at penn station 34 street.JUST TO MAKE THIS CLEAR THE R40 & R42 CAN BE USED ON SPECIAL SERVICES I SAID THE R40 SLANTS WERE RETIRED IN 2009 & THE R42 CAN BE USED ALSO ON SPECIAL SERVICES
A Train Fleet: R46 R160 R179’s are in Long Term Storage due to a coupling issue. Also Some of the stuff you have said here is incorrect.
A better way to push this idea along is: Overview: The A Train is an NYC Subway line. It is a part of the B Division. The A Train Consists of three Branches; Inwood - 207 St to Lefferts Blvd, Inwood 207 St to Rockaway Park (Part-Time), and Inwood - 207 St to Far Rockaway - Mott Ave. The A Train is considered the 8th Avenue Express, it's local counterpart is called the C Train and runs local from Washington Heights - 168 St to Euclid Avenue. The C Train runs alongside the A at all times except for Late Nights, when the A runs local. When the A Train runs R46's they run in 2, 8 Car sets When the A Train runs R160's, or R179's, they run in 2, 10 car sets At both ends of a set, there is a Full-Width Cab The R32 runs in 5, 2 Car Sets. At both ends of a set, there is a Half-Width Cab The C Train ALWAYS runs in 8 Car Formations Both the A and C Trains are connected to 207 St Yard in Inwood, Manhattan Stops: Manhattan Inwood - 207 St Dyckman St 190 St 181 St 175 St Washington Heights - 168 St 145 St 125 St 59 St - Columbus Circle 42 St - Port Authority Bus Terminal 34 St - Penn Station 14 St West 4th Street Canal St Chambers St Fulton St Brooklyn High St Jay Street - MetroTech Hoyt Schermerhorn Streets Nostrand Av Utica Av Broadway Junction Euclid Av Lefferts Av Branch Grant Av 80 St 88 St Rockaway Blvd 104 St 111 St Lefferts Blvd Far Rockaway Branch Grant Av 80 St 88 St Rockaway Blvd Aqueduct Racetrack Aqueduct North Conduit Av Howard Beach JFK Airport Broad Channel Beach 67 St Beach 60 St Beach 44 St Beach 36 St Beach 25 St Far Rockaway - Mott Av Rockaway Park Branch Grant Av 80 St 88 St Rockaway Blvd Aqueduct Racetrack Aqueduct North Conduit Av Howard Beach JFK Airport Broad Channel Beach 90 St Beach 98 St Beach 105 St Rockaway Park - Beach 116 St C Train Stops Manhattan Washington Heights - 168 St 163 St - Amsterdam Av 155 St 145 St 135 St 125 St 116 St 110 St 103 St 96 St 86 St 81 St - Museum Of Natural History 72 St 59 St - Columbus Circle 50 St 42 St - Port Authority Bus Terminal 34 St - Penn Station 23 St 14 St West 4 Street Spring St Canal St Chambers St Fulton St High St Jay Street - MetroTech Hoyt - Schermerhorn Streets Layfette Av Clinton - Washington Avs Franklin Av Nostrand Av Kingston - Throop Avs Utica Av Van Siclen Av Shepherd Av Euclid Av A Train Fleet: R46 R32 R160 R179 C Train Fleet: R160 R179 Currently, The R179's are housed in Concourse Yard for Long-Term Storage due to a Coupler issue.
No I mean that We could use them for a special train service for example something like the train of many metals & I know about the R179 I also forgot about the C-train Should have added it.I also said until 2009 they were retired
I just fixed it The retired trains could be used on excursions I didn't add the C because this was mainly about the A but the E train doesn't run all the way so it can be the A & C
