Idk about this idea but an interesting feature would be for the player to be able to go onto connected routes without leaving the scenario. For example the player can operate a Bakerloo line service and get off at Paddington to transfer onto the GWR and operate a train there to reading by using the escalator and going out the barrier onto the main platforms.
The best available on this would be to have a "player portal" where the player can walk to the boundary on one route and then come out of a corresponding boundary on the other route, so rather than walking off one platform and through the bowels of a station (complex to get right) you would have a fade out, loading screen, fade in sort of thing Of course this does mean that when you're loading the station tile for the relevant stations the game would need to check ownership of "the other DLC" to make the portal active, and have something to show "not in game yet"... maybe some posters for the relevant route? Doubt it'll happen, but spitballing is sometimes good
The problem with that is that neither Bakerloo nor GWE models the very significant chunk of Paddington between the train shed and the Underground platforms. That includes the upper Circle/District Tube platforms, located above the deep-level Bakerloo station.
I would like this, but unless DTG does a Bundle of Underground Lines, which the only ones which would have enough demand for would be the Subsurface lines, the only Interchanges in that fasion would be the Hammersmith and City Platforms to Metropolitan at Baker Street. Paddington and Paddington (Circle), and Hammersmith (Hammersmith and City) to Hammersmith (District and Piccadilly)
