About The Aberdeen, Carolina and Western Railway (reporting mark ACWR) is a short-line railroad running from Aberdeen to Star, North Carolina. It was incorporated in 1987 and operates on a former Norfolk Southern Railway branch line. It also leases track from Norfolk Southern between Charlotte and Gulf, North Carolina. It serves approximately 18 industries, mainly dealing in forest and agricultural products. Total length is 140 mi (230 km). Fleet GP40-2m GP40-2 GP40-3 SD 60F MP15 AC F9 (both a and b units)
Those F9s have a pretty cool paint scheme. Lionel is making those engines in O-Scale, along with matching passenger cars. Interesting fact, the F9s are formerly engines from Norfolk Southern RR's OCS Train.
