It’s typical they fix something and then twice numbers of fixed stuff are broken, I’ve never seen opened doors before that “patch” and now the ATC/ACSES is more broken I have more penalty brakes for no reason even though the path is clear…

Leave it to dtg to fix some issues, not fix other issues like passenger lights not being on and introduce new bugs to a route like making the safety systems even more bugged

    I'm glad I didn't buy this route

I think they are on, they just are terrible brightness for day time, this issue has occurred since TSW 3, it’s effects have also occurred on ICE1 in how you see them better in tunnels, but the Bi levels with NJT are the worst effected

the overspeed warning and suppression for some sort of strange 60mph after leaving Penn and out of the tunnel towards Newark now leaves the monitor once acknowledged, though I don’t think it should be occurring in the first place.

From what I've seen from some posts, they are not on. When you enter tunnels around penn station, the passenger cars are completely dark. They just aren't on. This was an issue when the harlem line came out with the passenger lights not being on

the cars are almost empty - the cab car lights are not necessary, lets save the energy ;). Anyway the suppression brake behave differently when ases engage or without it (alp46). The suppression lapping should keep bp on stable level, but when ases engage, bp pressure goes down down until speed limits is reached and acknowledging again and releasing

I think the issue is a bit more complicated than, them simply being on or not, I’m positive they are always on at night but hard to see in day, perhaps DTG have separate systems for Ai controls depending on night cycle or simply they’ve been set wrong to appear at night only.

They seem to only be on at night but at day they are off. You have some keep asking how to turn on the lights which further shows that they are not on. It doesn't have anything to do with being hard to see at day. They are just not on. When in the tunnels the passenger cars are pitch black when in dark places

people are asking as they aren’t always aware of the current issue of lights being not bright enough, so they come to another possible and reasonable conclusion that the lights just aren’t on, like I said if DTG have a separate coding system for Ai for lights at night rather than day than that’s most likely the issue, in that it only set up for day, if not then it may have relation to what other locos like the ICE 1 have since tsw3

In the ICE 1 though, when you go into a dark tunnel, you can see the lights. With the bi level cars in NY-Trenton- it's completely dark when at a dark area near penn station. It has nothing to do with them not being bright. They just aren't on. I've been on these trains in real life and I know how they look when the lights are on and in game they are just completely off. It's odd that such a simple thing as passenger lights not being on is something that would be a bug but I have to remind myself that this is Dovetail Games

the ICE is just once such example, the Acela and ACs-64 coaches are also suffering from a similar issue relating to this both of which are darker than the ICE in game, like I was saying it appears it may be related just to a more darker extent

    Queue the hallelujah chorus.

I’ve been as critical of the time table as anyone. I’ve also said until I’m blue in the face y’all are railfans too and won’t let this timetable stand … if at all possible.

I don’t think anyone here wants promises. I agree you can’t make them. But to hear that we’ve been heard and you’re trying to make a proper timetable makes my day.

So thank you for great news Matt.

now please … go enjoy your holiday and have a happy Easter.

The lights are just not on. They are just not on at all. They are off on the bi-levels

that would have to mean they run on separate day and night time setups.

I encounter three penalty break (pcs open) between NY Penn and NW Penn with the metroliner. That was never that bad before the patch. We don't have more than 2 seconds to downspeed before the penalty break.

I guess at this point at least we are being acknowledged. I’m just somewhat confused on the matter of signaling and amount of services. So when LIRR services was brought up it was mentioned that the signaling was outdated and couldn’t handle any more been added. It was tried and basically it would eventually lead to stuck trains. So it seems that we have a new route but have same or very similar issues that the signaling can’t handle the amount of services even though on a previous statement Matt had say he was confident that the current signally would be able to handle all services that are on the route realistically.I just don’t know is it coding or just too complex to implement into TSW3

For me they are on. They are not noticeable in daytime, which is part of the new lighting system. If you turn your car lights on in daytime, you will not see a headlight beam or interior light because ambient and sunlight are just much brighter.

You can avoid the "open doors" bug by just operating the doors using the panels, not the keyboard shortcurts. Note that you have to open / close the "forward" doors from the cab car. Using the "correct" rearward buttons will only close the doors on the cab car. Seems they swapped these accidentally.

So they are pretty much on during the night and off during the day

    Appears so to me.

On many UK stock like the HST or Class 47 you have the option between bright (daytime) and dim (nighttime).

Ok double checked. They are off in the CabCar during daytime (this is a bug). The other cars have the lights on permanently.
