Ai Train Bug

    AI TRAIN is not working properly I added a 5 minute stop for AI TRAIN but it stopped for 1 second and start moving and also when AI TRAIN train is getting from loop line of low speed limit to mainline of high speed limit and when loco enter mainline it increases it speed but the coaches are still on loop line.

    AI isn't like player trains, in fact they use a whole separate control and physics system, so it's not unusual for them to accelerate once the first car or first loco has passed the speed limit (player trains have to wait until the entire consist passes the limit before accellerating)

    With regards to the "1 second stop", when putting in the stop make sure you tick the alarm clock. This will force the AI to either stop for the AMOUNT of time you enter or until the leave time is reached.

    Yes I have putted alarm clock then also it's happening and thanks for reply

    Hamburg Hanover route and train is DB 103 TEE loco with some wagons at celle station

    But still don't you think that it is a bug and should be fixed because AI TRAIN should also follow speed limit until the whole consist pass out

    In an ideal world maybe.
    I'm a pragmatist so if a train I don't interact with other than passing close to it accelerates a few seconds earlier than I would be able to (without losing some imaginary points) I don't really care...

    And what about AI TRAIN not stopping according to alarm clock and also it's create problem because I have maken a scenario in which two train are running in 5min gap and AI TRAIN needs to overtake player train but because of AI TRAIN not following speed limit it become extra fast and don't maintain 5 min gap with player train. Also a bug is a bug and should be fixed until perfection and if really that doesn't matter than dovetail shouldn't talk about realism.

    It's a ten year old engine... some things are harder to fix than others and if they change the dispatcher it could break every scenario ever written... Programming is a fine balance

    I get and acknowledge the point you're making, but am also aware of the limitations of what the game engine and dispatcher is capable of in such things

    So what can be done we can hope that in next update maybe they fix it.

    It has been like this for most of the 7 years I have been playing the game. - People live with it.

    Try changing the classifications of the trains
    Make the one you wish to overtake have a higher priority
