First run for me on PC was largely positive, epic lighting really made the early morning run feel good. It did seem like there was a lot of P-Way guys out and about between Leeds and Skipton (did the 6am ECS on the 333). Only encountered one big bug, there's a level crossing around 4 miles south of Skipton and while the barriers are down, cars were still going across it.

Also the destination board on the 333 said "Shipley" throughout the run (we did have a timing stop at Shipley on the way).

You'll ask me the same and I apologise for not marking them down but - I've tried 3 services on this route this morning, all of which I couldn't finish as it sat at the end asking me to lock the doors despite me having done this.

AI conductor is disabled due it being a sub-par implementation.

    Uptdate :
For 331, it's OK. I turned off the assistant and I can open and close doors.

But, for 333, I have to switch the reverser to the neutral position at every stations, regardless of my setting choice for the assistant.

Example 1 : (assistant off) I stop at station and push "open doors", I see on the right side of the screen my order, but nothing happens. I switch the reverser to "neutral", and magic, the doors open. After loading passenger, it's the same, I have to wait for the doors to close before switching to "forward", otherwise the doors won't close. Then I switch to "forward", and I go.

Example 2 : (assistant "always" of "realist") It's the same story, I need to switch reverser to neutral, if I don't nothing happens. However, I can clearly see the opening order issued by the assistant on the right side of the screen. The doors open and close only when I am in neutral.

Has anyone else had the same experience on PC ?

That’s how the 333 works IRL, and for reference in the UK, that’s proper practice anyway - but only the 333 enforces it.

Had a few issues using the AI conductor specifically services

2H08 - 0627 Leeds to Skipton in the Class 331, at Shipley the door close button was getting constantly pressed but the front set of doors wouldn’t close. I have train faults disabled too, managed to save, turn conductor off and on the move 9 minutes late. Thankfully, in the 331 managed to make up time and got to Skipton just one minute late!

Second service, 2V20 1003 Leeds to Ilkley, no issues until Ilkley when the doors wouldn’t open, tried everything, reset physics. Had to turn conductor mode off again, load on foot at the previous station just so I could say, I’d completed the service at least!

Bit of a shame to be honest, no used to personally having these issues on TSW, but seems to be a buggy release this time round, sadly.

PC All 331 stops. On the doors page the doors are shown as being released on the wrong side in the non cab vehicles at all stations

Are you arriving early if so you have close the doors when prompted. Then wait until your arrival time then it will complete the job.

Leeds station feels weirdly dead, like pre-Rush Hour dead. I get that we don't have Northern Diesels or TPE services yet but there should be AI for London-bound 801s and Northern electric services to Doncaster at least.

Also using a generic asset for Bridgewater Place is a lazy choice. It's the tallest building in Leeds and very clearly visible from the track.

It’s a must on the 333, as that is exactly how the door interlocks are setup.

Other than that, no, not a national requirement, just proper practice.

good to know... my yesterday's inaugural rides on core routes involved only 331, so good to know before I venture forth with 333... so if you are in forward and press the key to open the doors for either side, nothing happens? interesting (also had no idea thats how it is done IRL in UK trains?)

You should get an alert tone if you try to open them, but I’m fairly sure that it would require the guard key to be in also. In TSW I’m not sure if it means you’ll only get the alarm if you have the AI guard active. At the very least your doors won’t open.

on the 801/2, there's a missing gangway between the last 2 first class carriages, and when you set up the train and turn on the headlights from the front cab, it turns off the tail lights on the rear cab IMG_2026.09.11-14.21.32.jpg IMG_2026.09.11-14.21.25.jpg

It honestly feels like you've just copy-pasted the physics from the Dutch Sprinter (same company and some displays the same), because it's still got far too much air resistance/track resistance. I'm on a 0.5% descent with power in coasting and it's losing speed - nah. Same "treacle" physics you still haven't fixed on the Dutch route either.

Please DTG, will you get a testing team who actually play and notice things instead of just using it as an excuse for early access?

Like blurry as in blurry texture, the well known issue? If yes, this is without layers, as they are not available yet, right?

That's bad, really bad. You're playing on the Series X, right? If this is already the case without layers and on the X, then I even don't want to try it on Series S with the class 220 as layer.

The self direct control on the 331 is awful... I know it's being fixed but just a little advice... The self direct control aka the carrier frequency should be audible until it reaches its lowest frequency usually around 38mph, same again when slowing down except it doesn't decrease in pitch before stopping it climbs up even more before the first part of the VF drive comes back. Also when the train comes to a stop the motors make a very bassey stop sound. Also is the station brake release sound on tsw? That's a very core part of the class 331s sounds. Other than that it sounds pretty good... Just 16-40mph sounds completely wrong :-|

How could they mess it up like this bad. I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. All that ongoing work on blurry textures, you should expect those new routes should have the optimizations and also the "new" trains on this route. But most likely, the 66 and 801 are just copy/paste with some enhancements.

331 - brakes are far too strong for minimal applications, there's barely any fine control. The holding brake that activates as you stop is even stronger still.

Additionally, switching to the "Station" display with doors open shows doors open on the wrong side for the middle 2 cars!!

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this, I couldn't find a suitable thread, and I actually stumbled upon this while using this specific map, but it’s a general issue with the AI Conductor Mode settings. When I set it to "Realistic" or "Always," it reverts to the default "OFF" setting after I restart TRS7... I don't know if that's intentional, but it seems odd...

Also, the issue regarding its functionality on the Class 331 has already been discussed here...

I don't know the reason why this train doesn't have a static shadow underneath it, but it looks unnatural compared to the other trains.

interesting... also, is it true that also in other UK trains they do put reverser into neutral at every single stop? cos this is new information to me :D ... I am used to driving in Forwards all the time :D

Some ToC’s require their drivers do it, some don’t. Generally speaking most drivers do as it’s just a good habit to maintain.

If you want some proper rail drama, just go over to rail forums UK & look over operational discussion.

You can even find a pretty extensive thread about this very subject.

Anyways getting off topic, in short yes you should be setting your reverser to neutral, same as setting your DRA when stopping in stations with adverse signals.

If we had to put it in neutral on our 168s every time they would have a meltdown lol.

Theres lots of little things wrong as people have mentioned but I really cant get over the lack of passengers on board trains and how quiet stations are. Its a pretty basic thing to get right

Mentioned in the official route thread but the is the only thing that does not sit right with me. As someone who knows this route well and built a version in TSC the only thing jumping out to me is the retail units right next to Bradford Forster Square station that sit right next to the track look nothing like the metal warehouse asset that has been used. The real retail units are yellow brick/stone with grey cladding and curved roof. I understand the retail store names not being used but the asset currently in place is so inappropriate and right up against the track so this needs the same attention to detail that the rest of the route has clearly had in the station models. Everything else is looking really great along with the 333 and 331.

How the hell do they come up with the scoring on this game. I mean i dont really care about scoring but some do. A yard move for platinum is 450 points you aint getting it you only drive 500 yards.

On ps5 6D89 part 6 the class 66 is stuck outside skipton says stop off path when going to collect the train to take it to Rylstone quarry which means if you want to drive 5S03 into skipton you can’t move

How is this possible with wires changing direction in air without anything?
    20260910235405_1.jpg
And I belive there are several spots on the route where the catenary is missing so the train needs wireless.

And as I played in timetable a drive to Leeds, I became short before coming into Leeds a emergency breaking (because an overspeeding?). I had after then trouble to get the thing to drive again, because I was told to contact signaller, I´ve done it, but I never came out of these emergency break situation. Nothing had worked, even shuting down the train and re-powering, confirming alarm, pressing all possible buttons, ....

Why do the 331 & 333s have different announcement voices? In reality, they’re identical. The 333 voice is far better and it would be better if it was on both units.

331 sounds could definitely do with looking at, the traction motor audio sounds are pretty far off reality - there’s loads of videos on YouTube of these that could’ve been used as reference at least…
