I personally wouldn’t be happy if I needed to buy 12 of Thomson dlcs to make 13 playable

This thread is an absolute farce.

Seriously, why would you need to do that in TSW? When have you ever needed to do that in TSW? Just because the builders of the routes in TSC choose to make scenarios that require AP products (possibly others) to play them doesn’t mean you need to buy them to actually make the route work. They have always included scenarios that use generic assets, just like Just Trains do. It is true that some ATS payware routes sparingly require other TSC content to run because of their included assets (they’re always the same route or two), but that is content that mostly everyone owns and if they don’t it can be picked up for literally a couple of pounds every month or so in a sale. That is the nature of the beast in TSC but TSW is, and always has been, totally different. You could argue that DTG already do this by requiring you to have certain DLC’s to enable layers…you don’t seem to have a problem with this. Why is that?

I’m still waiting to hear who these competitor’s are that AT has been bad mouthing. Not reviewing before ATS was a thing, but actually bad mouthing since…

There is so much meaningless LOVE in this thread. To get AT onboard as another 3rd party developer for TSW surely is a good thing. Its a business thing, no matter what you think about him. No matter what he has said about TSW in the past. He mentioned me once in one of his livestreams and called me Hentai instead of Hentis lol. I'm not going to hold it against him for the rest of his life. I couldn't care. Instead of all the bull some of you lot are concocting. Look at the stuff he has helped create for TSC that could come for TSW.

    Hentis

  4. I'll be buying the route. I've got all of ap's stuff, if I have to make a few extra purchases to transform one of dtg's lifeless routes into something it should have been in the first place then so be it.

I am surprised that Alan wishes to develop for TSW given his historical distaste for the game but I see no reason to immediately discount his team's future creations. If he is disappointed with the current state of TSW content then I look forward to what new and different experiences he and his team can bring to the table.

    Cheers

However much he has griped about TSW, he obviously cares enough to jump through whatever hoops DTG has in place to join the official outside developer ranks.

Funny how complaints about not having enough outside developers working on the game due to said hoops quickly become complaints about a developer when he does. One would almost think complaining is the object.

Oh you must know more than others. Can you provide your source that it is a route ATs are making I must have missed that announcement.

he has said himself he is putting his money where his mouth is and jumping into TSW he knows the hurdles he has to overcome. We will all just have high expectations giving his current TSC offerings and also what he expects from DTG. I am sure he will pull it off. Just needs time to get it all on the move.

So you’re just assuming it’s a route. Thought you had saw something official lol

One must always be careful. Competence in TSC development does not necessarily translate to TSW. See for example Rivet (aka Thomson Interactive) content in TSC vs TSW.

Clutching at straws? Hardly, In the UK I think you are directly not allowed to criticise your competitors in advertising but the closest you can get is comparing prices. And their message is 'Do not shop there shop here as our prices are cheaper' it might be polite criticism but it is still criticism.

It all boils down to personal choice, for me I would rather buy something from someone than criticises and knows where flaws are rather from someone that pretends everything is great when it is not. Obviously their product has to be good.
