So for the NEC in TS21, we have the amtraks aging Acela. But Amtrak is going to be putting in service the next generation of the Acela the Avelia Liberty. The Avelia Liberty has a faster top speed than the Acela and is a little bit for futuristic than the Acela. The Avelia Liberty is a cross between the Shinkansen and the LGV and the Acela designs in a futuristic design on the outside and it's made for daily commuting to work and sending out those few Emails that you did not get time to send the night before at the same time with a smooth comfortable ride to work without getting stuck in the massive backups that happen throughout NYC during rush hour.
Nice suggestion! This would be neat to see in the game. Although personally I wouldn't buy it full price as the trainset itself doesn't excite me enough to pay $20 for it.
I have seen it included in suggestions for a new NEC section or a revamped NEC New York - Philadelphia. But it has not been suggested as a separate loco add-on.
I think it should be loco addon for Washington - Philadelphia extension otherwise its just 20-25 short journeys while I also want some full length from Washington to Philly or New York Penn to New Haven union.
its about time this was suggested this shouldve been made for the upcoming Washington DC-Baltimore NEC route
Yeah, the new trainsets won't enter service until next year. They are still in testing. Afaik, there is one on the NEC testing and one on a test track in Colorado. I'm not sure if the others have been delivered to Amtrak yet.
I doubt Alstom would release any blueprints or drawings for a long while, and partly why not much modern passenger stock can be made. I'm surprised DTG got away with the M7/M8 in the first place, I can't find any blueprints suitable for 3D modelling.
Yes I agree, could have got measurements or blueprint and had it be an alstom licensed item along with being an Amtrak licensed product!
That route is taking a bit long time,it is 41 miles and was teased 10 days ago, i wonder if they cancelled it and did Washington to Philadelphia instead?
You should of been around last year, it took quite a few weeks for the Montana Hi Line, and the Reppo M2 EMU to be released.
There's at least one, cActUsjUiCe was making a New Haven-Boston route, not sure what current status is.
He gave up due to the chronic issues he experienced with the editor when making long routes. The track itself is complete, it just needs scenery.
