An Open Letter To Dtg And Rivet Games, Tsw, Slop, And You. Where Do You Draw The Line?

I don't intend to confront anyone. If TSW is making you unhappy then maybe you need to take a break from anything related to it and find something rewarding to do.

For my part I'm happy for the most part with TSW.

It's a train simulator nothing deeper than that.

 

It’s a train simulator at the end of the day not real life it is great you are so passionate about train simming. And have found something you enjoy. Done get problems yes and it is frustrating. Could DTG do better with releases. Absolutely they can and they have acknowledged this in the past however putting it to practice appears to be where they stop. we all want the best for the sim at the end if they after all it’s our hobby and yes it is frustrating we see the same issues appear time after time but we just get on with it. If we didn’t we wouldn’t all be here.

 

If people don’t like the stuff produced by DTG and rivet, the answer is very simple, don’t buy it

 

You did now ask yourself why. Am I a threat to you? The possibility, the one where have that burning compulsive obligation to speak.

Now don’t take this personally but I will ask this.
Am I speaking to you or your ego?.

Answer this and we can continue talking as people who we are, not who we pretend to be. Ego.
Because if you do feel that rage or burning desire to speak or feel under attack then that’s nothing to do with me.
That’s ego being tested.

So please ego must be removed or we cannot have a civil conversation about anything.
Even this. Because I too am responding. And not out of ego. It’s to end all this suffering of feelings of being under attack.

Would you agree that deep down you fear me but that’s the mirror. You fear yourself not me.

If not no then every conversation becomes personal leading to toxic environments between community members.
When at the end of the day opinions are like A/Holes. Everyone has one.

Opinions can be expressed and if misunderstood then ask questions. You have rather than assume.
But again where do all those feelings come from that somehow allow others to rattle thoughts even thinking when I was only passing my opinions just like everyone else.

My reasons could be personal and so I don’t owe you or anyone an explanation of what goes on in my personal life.
Here we can see how my opinion became personal, yet I have never mentioned your name or targeted any of your past posts directly.

Why have that compulsion to feel a need to say something on my opinions when I can simply by pass yours and others.
I can do this because I have nothing to prove because I’m not egotistical. Would it be hard for you to accept that I’m just here like you.
Trying to support, add different perspectives etc. (I’ll add more if you’re willing to talk without the ego creating a false persona).

Even my open opinion here will probably hurt, I’m not saying I’m right. But be honest with yourself. That’s all I ask.

To pretend in front of the crowds, that’s comforting.

Remove the Mask and that’s a the face of a true man. And that’s where pain comes from within, and the ego is born to hide those insecurities. If you can do this publicly then you’ll have more power over yourself and the decision you make.
And I tell you all this not because I’m better than you are anyone else for that matter, I had 45 years of pain. All because I was different.

I will only speak to you. Why because I don’t feel anyone else would truly understand and so just mock because they too are afraid to look into the mirror. Thus the ego will defend and logic dies.

So does the real man inside or the chance to form a real meaningful conversation.

Be Strong brother. No one has to prove anything or pretend.

PS. This is not arrogance. These are words built to control or switch feelings of inferiority towards a certain threat.
Usually to control a narrative to fit conformity. (The masses). Anything outside of conformity and the systems alarms will be activated. (Control).
So if I was to suggest anything once you read this message, then don’t react. Take a day or two, THINK things over when the ego isn’t under threat.
And then we can talk when emotions aren’t so high to allow logic to enter the room. And stop others from feeding your Lion especially if that Lion can’t be controlled by its master. Then they take the line that certain Era or themes don't sell and stop making them. They don't put it down to the fact that lacking, half finished. content and bugs don't sell.

Quality sells. There is alot if DLC that I would happily buy if it was fixed and properly finished. But the fact a good chunk of it is now abandonware and will never be fixed means I will not buy it. If a team would go back and sort the issues, I'd happily part with my cash.

 

You say this, but what a "mid-end" gaming PC is varies a lot, my first PC is considered "mid-end", but it still ended up being a $1000 machine out the gate. Hardly machines cheap enough to dismiss as "weak", with them being double the price of the consoles TSW are supposed to be running on. If anything for a mid-end machine I'd still expect it to hold the highest settings at 1080p at reasonable frame rates. High-end machines really only (Or at least should only) matter if you're targeting higher resolutions and frame-rates.

The fact some routes like TSW2020's version of Peninsula Corridor in particular would dip into the 20's at San Fran, and even with fixes in TSW2 onward was still hanging around the 40's, (At 1080p mind you) is hardly running well. And thing is dips into 30FPS were regular all the time, particularly when AI trains would passby. Which I've never considered "good" performance when most other games could hold 60FPS on that machine with little issue at the time.

 

I think you would be wise to follow your own advice at times.
