A while back, my dear friend Synthetic Angel posted a list of fabulous little (and large) details in Train Sim World that were found to be particularly ticklishly wonderful....: https://forums.dovetailgames.com/threads/top-ten-touches-in-train-sim-world-ps4.18170/ But.... now there's more... Here is Another List of Top Ten Touches from Synthetic Angel, found more recently. Have you found any other details in Train Sim World that have really forced you to smile......? --------------- NTP - Semaphore signals turn white as you pass them as your angle of view changes, modelling the fact that there is a white light behind a rotating coloured glass... this is quite exquisite. NTP - Not only do the freight van doors open (commonly known...?), but the brake pads and mechanisms all move when you release/apply the vacuum brakes... there is full animation of the pad against the wheel....! NTP - The Class 40 white marker discs can be flipped up and down to reveal the marker lights. GWE - The Class 66 computer, with traction motors that can be isolated via the system menu. TVL - The red flames from the steel plant chimneys casts a devilish orange light inside the cab of the Class 37, particularly noticed at night...., adding a lovely warm glow to your heart as you pass by. TVL - You can sometimes see some sort of crane working in the background, plus you have guys in Day-Glo Hi-Vi orange hanging around one of the yards. TVL - The Class 37 body-shell is depicted as being well aged, with variation in the flatness of the steel sides.... except for the doors and hatch panels which depict a reinforced steel plate look.... utterly superb texturing design...! NEC - The Metroliner Cab Car has an amazingly dark and claustrophobic driving cab, coupled with the unpowered silence makes for a surprisingly atmospheric drive on NEC at dusk... The Bells...! - On locos in North America you can often find a physically animated bell on the outside.... 08/09 - The jolt over points and crossings seems more pronounced than on bogied locos (could just be imagining that... but it seems to always happen) --------------- And... of course - in a league of its own....the super-gem of TSW, now with fully restored sound on PS4, is...... the DB BR 155.... Everything about it. The controls, the fantastic soundscape (now including in tunnels), the modelling and texture design outside and inside - all of it, and particularly the lighting effect of the control desk at night.... Utterly superb... (finally).....!
