I have had GWE on my wish list for a while so will be nice to add the layers to BML as well as get some more Frieght layers!

 

Finally a decent sale. Unfortunately nothing that I don’t already have, but happy for those that can pick up something.

But I think they're all of them fantastic routes, so hopefully a good few people will have the opportunity to expand their collections.

Happy days I've picked up London commuter in the sale, a route I've had my eye on for a long time! Also debating whether to get LGV

 

This is not a proper sale. The routes are those made compatible for TSW3. I have the offers already. But will they work with TSW2 as well? I am only waiting for Oakville, Horseshoe Curve and WCL. The three routes that I own in PC, that haven’t interested me. I also only need three German locomotives and five American. I will buy these next summer with a gift card when they hit the sales.

 

Great to hear that there's finally some DLC on sale! Unfortunately I think I already have everything that's discounted, but I'm pleased for those people who don't.

I was waiting for Penisula Corridor or Northern Trans Pennine but overall I'm happy there's finally a decent sale. I bought Tharandther rampe already this summer in a sale and I also have Nahverehr and London Commuter in my collection cause of Rush hour edition of TSW2.

For people who like the German routes I can recommend Tharandther Rampe and Nahverkehr Dresden. You get a decent amount of loco's (4 on Tharandther and 5 on Nahverkehr) and also the routes a quite nice with commuter and cargo services.

5 routes is actually a "big" sale on the Xbox marketplace for TSW. I think we usually see a slightly larger one around July every year, but basically this is it. The only one on the list that I currently don't have is LGV. It's on my wishlist of routes to get, but I will pass. Seeing the current state of TSW3, I will be holding onto my pennies and voting with my wallet.

I received an email yesterday from Microsoft: "A game on your wish list is on sale!" for Hauptstrecke Hamburg - Lübeck.

Upon closer inspection it also stated at the end: "Offer ends Sep. 01".

So clearly wish list emails aren't a reliable way of being informed of discounts if they're being sent several months late

 

I get notifications the day a sale goes live of anything in my list sent direct to my XBox console.
Unfortunately, this happens the day ANY sale with something in goes live, meaning when two or even three sales overlap, I can get a notification for several games in my list multiple times in the week, as it notifies me of all the ones in my list which are on sale, not just the ones in the latest sale to have begun, every day a new sale starts.

 

I get notifications and emails "A game on your wish list is on sale!" of the 10% off GamePass items too

 

I never get it for the game pass stuff, thankfully

 

Why are the older routes more expensive than the new routes.

 

I'm guessing it's because the older routes were designed for TSW2: the superior version of the game

 

Can anyone confirm who bought a product in this latest xbox sale deal for TSW3 compatible routes that will they also install into TSW2, or do you have to purchase them again for TSW2.

I bought sometime ago a couple of TSW locos on TSW2 compatibility they installed into TSW2 and TSW3 but I will have to buy the again for TSW2020.

 

I bought LGV under TSW3 and when I look at it under TSW2 it says "owned" there as well.

Basically the rule of thumb is if it doesn't specifically have the TSW3 stamp on it, they will work in TSW2 (even though you buy it through the TSW3 DLC section of the store). Only those specifically marked with a TSW3 stamp are not backwards compatible.

 

I understand StrikeEagle78, thank you for the explanation. But I bought two TSW2020 locos compatible for TSW2 that were not backwards compatibility so possibly the reason why!

 

The only 2 I don't have are Tharandter Rampe: Dresden - Chemnitz and LGV Mediterranee: Marseille - Avignon.
Only can get one, any recos? Was thinking LGV because I don't have a route in France.

 

But Tharandter Rampe is way more fun

 

LGV because it’s a new country with a train you are not used to and you can just speed through mountains and viaducts and steep gradients

 

I don't know if the prices are the same as they have been on TSW 2 or they were also inflated. But if it's a TSW 2 item you could by the add-on for TSW 2 and get it for TSW 3. (Don't yell at me as I don't exactly know since I am still only playing TSW2.)

 

All tsw2 routes are the same original price as to the new tsw3 routes

 

Not in Canada as per my above post TSW routes have been pricing at 39.99 since TSW 2020.

TSW 3 comes out and with updated pricing but instead of an increase we got a decrease as the routes are now 36.99 since the "price adjustment" they did.

But if you go on the US xbox site the routes used to be 36.99USD and the new ones since the price adjustment is 39.99USD

I'm pretty sure the Canadian dollar is less value than an US dollar. So while everyone has gone up in price we in Canada have dropped in price.

I ain't complaining works great for me.

I wonder if the pricing matrix guy for Microsoft is Canadian.

 

Today is the last day of the xbox mini sale of five TSW routes. Will we see anymore reductions tomorrow or will we have to wait months for another offering? I have every route apart from Canadian National Oakville Subdivision, Horseshoe Curve and West Corny Local, which I won’t buy at full price as I have them in the PC version. I may be tempted if included at a decent sale price!

Come on Microsoft, Christmas present giving will be over in a fortnight.

 

Normally the last weeks of the month is when the big XBox sale starts on like 90% of the store that DTG are never part of.

 

One of few times I can say I have all dlc bar 1 in a sale. Not fussed on the Duplex.

Good point and I did go for Tharandter Rampe over the other choices because it offers a German DMU since I passed it for Harlem Line during a previous Tharandter Rampe sale over the Summer

 

The latest sale was supposed to end on the 12th, but the discount are still available. Typical of Microsoft.

Various starter parks and TSW3 editions on sale as of today.

 

Lasting for 17days. It would have been fantastic if Microsoft had reduced TSW2020 and TSW2 products as well. Fingers crossed their included in a sale soon, as I shall spend a lot of money if they do one. It would make my Christmas. If not maybe a NY sale.

 

I doubt they will go on sale since the base TSW2020 and TSW2 games are no longer for sale on the Xbox store.

 

Tsw2 routes were 40% and 45% off not even a week ago

 

Well in that case the next sale on them will be the Summer. As for the last 3 years we only get a Black Friday and Summer sale on the routes.

 

Yes but only a few. Have never seen Canadian National, Horseshoe Curve or WCL in a sale neither have I seen the TSW USA locomotives in a sale. Happy to wait for the summer as I will hopefully have enough reward points to buy them for free irrespective of a sale. Have saved a lot at the moment to buy half of what I need.

 

It's doesn't seem worth it. Only 30% off for standard. I might wait until it's a better amount like 40 or 50%.

 

I wonder what is on sale and does anyone here can recommend me which one to get. I already got Bahnstrecke Dresden Chemnitz Werdau Tharandter Rampe after TSW 3 Deluxe edition purchase.

 

Looks we may get a sale on some routes when the store refreshes tomorrow as an Add-On Deals section has been added Xbox Store. Currently showing as standard 10% off, but may change tomorrow.
