Less focus on gimmicks. More expert level stuff. More random events such as routing alterations. More older types of train. Class 85 requested (yes I know probably no hope).
All right. this a pretty dumb question for someone who's been around as long as I have, but -- where is the survey? I can't find the darn thing.
Not as many questions or in detail no, and we did get an add on for the Cajon Pass, another loco for Cajon Pass and a new freight route in the works (which seems like it might be related to feedback from the last survey since it can take a year to act on suggestions) While we can't say one DID lead to the other, there IS more freight content than before for the US even if we just count the three HIS add ons. That's more than the zero other stuff released in the last 3 years. 2022 1 US freight release (Cajon Pass) 2023 0 releases 2024 0 releases (can't call Antelope line a freight route, it has really 2 freight runs on it) and no stock 2025 1 release (again, there's freight layers on MBTA, but it's not a freight route, it's a commuter one) 2026 (2 releases on the roadmap) To me that's progress.
And they asked again if a brightness slider should be added to the game. For the second year in a row. As if it would take several years and 9000 people team to implement.
Maybe it would be great for console players, if they doesn't have some buttons combination for it. On PC ctrl + num enter & shift + num enter is a part of a standard prep ritual.
Not for me- I like to hit the switches manually. Even on the 194, where you have to get out of the loco to do it.
it really is kind of ridiculous. I'd say a good chunk of the features they mentioned in the survey should already be in the game, and it doesn't take a genius to realize that's what the players want, so why are they even asking??? Just it get done! I genuinely don't understand what the devs do with their time
I practically lived on the screenshot section of those forums, sharing my progress on my re-theme of the old Highland Valley map. I used to have a lot of fun writing little stories to go with it all, too. We had a decent little community back then, for the most part.
