Armstrong Powerhouse has recorded an MTU Class 43 (HST) and a VP185 Class 43 (HST). On their facebook page, they have included a video showing some of the highlights from recording 43048.
Armstrong Powerhouse will be releasing the TTA Wagon Pack Vol. 1 tomorrow. Lots of pictures of the TTA Wagons are featured in their post on Facebook.
Yes they do look very good. Will picking them up. That is one less Kuju rolling stock/loco dependency required.
You still have to swap the kuju tanks for these in every scenario otherwise they will continue to appear.
I make my own scenarios and have tended to avoid Kuju items apart from the HST and class 47 based add-ons so for me personally it isn't really an issue.
I don't think an HST is considered a freight wagon... Besides, don't we already have a new HST in form of the LNER one from DTG?
Some of my early childhood train journeys were on HSTs in Swallow livery out of KX. I used to love it when we got there early and I could see/hear other HSTs screaming out of there. Even as a kid I was a bit of a nutter for obnoxious engine sounds of all types (TVR Chimaera, anyone?!). Pretty sure I ignored the Class 91s altogether at the time. So anything that enhances this iconic set further still will be tremendously welcome, to me personally at least.
So, who on here remembers the British Rail TV advert with an HST leaving either (I think) Kings Cross or Paddington with the exhaust billowing up and to the soundtrack of The Police with "Every Breath You Take"?
How are the kuju wagons still required ??? this is a stand alone wagon it has no other requirements ???
Indeed you would be. This is a stand alone wagon created by bossman games in conjunction with AP so does not require the kuju model to function.
That's like saying to look at the Readme file. Though yeah, I guess "TTA Wagon Pack Vol. 1" with the missing words being "Enhancement Pack" might be a clue...
now now we dont mention manuals that is like asking people to read a manual to get blood out of a stone lol. Agreed though it can get confusing with pack names.
Not sure if you have compared them the AP vs Kuju it's massive difference so it's not an EP its a complete full model with costum sounds (Not my screenshot)
No, I have not purchased the new wagons. Money is a bit iffy right now, and I have targets in future sales for the little I might try to spend. If you're offering a gift, however...
Welcome to the club mate, I haven't bought them my self but have seen a picture of one and another, and you can clearly see the massive differences, not offering anything to you as no one offer me anything either
Armstrong Powerhouse has made an extra new scenario for the TTA Wagon Pack Vol. 1 as well as an update on existing Armstrong Powerhouse DLC which has now been made to use the TTA Wagon Pack Vol. 1.
Armstrong Powerhouse has revealed that the next wagon pack for the upcoming Wagon Wednesday is the MFA/MHA/MTA Wagon Pack.
I thought that as well, and even if you do pay you can get some real good packs at golden goldsmith or on ATS as well.
Going years back now AP scenario packs were really banging if you ask me, now the community do produce equal or at times better, what i did like about AP packs they had all the reskins included in them meaning you didn't had to look for the reskins, but freeware scenarios behind free from the community i put that effort without any issue
In Train Simulator Classic in general, yes. I believe these types of wagons were in the 'EWS & Freightliner Class 08s Loco Add-On' DLC made in 2013 by Dovetail Games but I haven't double checked yet. But I am pretty sure Armstrong Powerhouse has not made these wagons before.
No prizes for guessing which is which, I could only find MFA's for the comparison. My screenshot is darker than AP's probably due to my various settings I also tend to have the sunlight intensity slider quite low (I mean I do live in Wales not the Mediterranean)
The MFA/MHA/MTA Wagon Pack will be releasing soon, Armstrong Powerhouse has also shown more liveries of the wagons that will be included in the Wagon Pack.
Free scenarios have without a doubt increased in quality and a select few authors now match or exceed AP's quality. I still find many lack the real attention to detail such as correct numbers/variations on trains for their livery/era that you find with AP but many won't be fussed about that. AP's Powerhouse still has the upper edge too in telling you if you own the requirements and they don't require you to download weird and wonderful freeware packs of varying quality with the increased potential to break your install. The interface also provides a great way of searching the scenario collection by class, route, livery, year etc. ATS is a bit of a free for all with poor categorisation/searchability.
I agree with you on that i absoloutly love the powerhouse app in telling you what your missing that is just fantastic and i wish something else was done that could be used to "scan" if thats the right word to see if your missing stuff from a scenario from the community.
Use Locoswap - https://rail-sim.de/forum/filebase/entry/5860-locoswap-fahrzeuge-einfacher-tauschen/ When you choose a Scenario is shows on the left side if you are missing any items in a different colour. I chose Western Lines of Scotland and a Scenario called A Last Minute Delivery On the left is a list of Consists in the Scenario - those with a Red dot are missing something Clicking on one it shows I have all the different wagons but not the loco - So I could swap it for something else
I really like loco swap but I've found that sometimes it mixes the consists up and isn't always accurate for telling you what you have. I don't have the JT 221 but its always green in loco swap and then throws up an error when I start the game as obviously it hasn't flagged up. All I do is list in the swap feature and if there's scenarios that might use it I just do the swap in case.
Might be worth checking what path Locoswap thinks that 221 lives at and see if you have a reskin or something there that's confusing it. If that path doesn't exist then I guess it is a bug. I just haven't had this issue myself yet.
Well I might have accidentally installed something for it which has created the folder so maybe it's seeing that, will have a look tomorrow as it is a bit weird. Saying that I'm pretty sure there's a couple of others it does it to as well so il have a look and see whats there, not a big deal by any means as like I say I normally keep it in the swap list anyway and have a fairly good idea on what routes its used generally.
