I don't have an Idea for where a route could run but australian locomotives are very interesting, they are almost identical to america and canada. Standard gauge Locomotive ideas: GM Class Very similar to the american E unit LQ Class ACD Class And lastly, the 421 Class Aurizon also has narrow gauge trains in western australia, which could be on a seperate route/dlc Narrow gauge ideas: DBZ Class 1300 Class and lastly the 900 class I still don't have a current idea of where the routes would even run, but these are just some locomotive ideas for if they ever come
