So at this point there are no plans on bringing in freight on this new (so far amazing looking) route. The point is, that there are no available Locos for that in TSW 2 at this moment… or are there? That’s why I created this thread! Anyone who does (in the best case exactly) know which Locos (that we currently have in TSW2) would be able to drive on this route, please write down which one.

As far as I know there is only the Br185.5 MRCE with four pantographs- is that correct?

On the Rivet forums they said they don’t know whether there might be a loco; so it’s not over! Because of that, I decided to create this thread: to get a bit of freight :D

The only freight loco currently in the game which can run on Swiss power is the MRCE 185.5

Speaking of 185.5 - I haven't ever found a way to use that other pair of pantographs that would be needed for this route. Are they even functional in-game?

Yes, they are. Go into the MFD, you'll see there's a screen for changing voltage. If you select SBB, the proper panto will raise: (IIRC, you have to open the main breaker before changing the setting, then close it again)

I hope somebody makes a re420 & 620 before they get scrapped. Right now there is only the 4 pantograph traxx, and i its for sure not in the same configuration as the mrce.

Off topic a bit, but your picture above shows something I have seen frequently in Swiss cabride videos, a local freight with an electric motor pulling a diesel shunter so they are not restricted as to what sidings they can go into.

It would need ETCS implementation, but the BR185.5 should work in terms of electrification.

What a nice idea for a freight dlc.
    Electric with a diesel sidekick.

Isn't the 187 meant to have that but it's not simulated or maybe the variant we have does not have it! If it did I would definitely buy it!

The route conveniently passes right through this rail-served industrial complex so I’d be surprised if we didn’t get a shunter and a wagon. A shunter would be quite capable of handling the short trip to Lucerne.

Although saying that we only got one wagon on the Arosa line and it doesn't even have a timetabled service when in reality on that line freight is a regular fixture with many types of wagons.

If seems to be a reoccuring theme throught TSW DLC where we get drip fed information about now content, so Im certainly not discounting the fact that we'll get a 2nd loco/trainset included until such time as its confirmed from the horses mouth.

It seems the current matra is under promise and over deliver, and Im OK with that approach.

Another option is the Eem 923 dual mode shunter and has the Ability to run off 25kv 50hz SNCF system while using the same 1.45m carbon contact strip Pantograph.
