Actually just completed a run yesterday from Dresden to Leipzig and encountered no problems. My immediate suspicion would be a GPA speed trap.
Is there any indication on when all the broken services in journey mode on this route will be fixed? It's been months now since the route came out and we are still not able to simply even play all the content that we payed for...
Sadly DTG have a track record of not fixing broken Journey Mode elements. The G6 still has a shunting timetable that can’t be finished due to a signalling issue on RRO. So I wouldn’t hold your breath. The routes that came with TSW6 are already getting on for five months old and DTG are anxious to sell us the latest content, or Sodor, or Metro Rivals. So I wouldn’t hold your breath…
The only difference is that the original G6 journey on TSW2 supposedly worked when it came out but was broken when TSW3 came out. I have heard that it has been looked at and can't really be fixed (although that doesn't explain why that service is not simply removed from the journey). On the other hand, the Leipzig and 294 journeys have always been broken, even after DTG tried to fix the 294 journey once already. So I do have hope that these, at least, will eventually get fixed. The G6 is pretty hopeless though.
I discovered an issue with the ICE 1558 Dresden-Leipzig, departing at 12:19. Before Riesa, a regional train (RB 31, either Coswig-Dresden or Dresden-Coswig) is blocking the entrance. The only way to continue playing at this point is to manually remove the regional train. I'm playing on PS5.
I thought I’d have a go at this…. I did the ICE loco training run… ish Decided I’d try an actual run however… It’s all in German and the the only German I know is Zwei Beer and Ein bratwurst and some unprintable stuff.. not much help driving a train! The train kept stopping every two seconds and I never made the first station.. who knows what’s going on? Vorsprung Durch My Train Won’t Go.
To familiarize yourself with the PZB, be sure to enable hints in the game menu. It's basically simple: press confirm and slow down before the timer runs out. If the next light is red, reduce your speed further. Within a certain distance of the red light, your speed must not exceed a certain level. Perform a reset only when the system allows it. It's best, of course, to watch tutorials on how to use it. It seems complicated, but it's not. The LZB system on high-speed sections in tandem with the AFB is, in fact, an autopilot and requires almost no action from the driver.
I'd suggest learning how PZB and LZB work first, without turning on SIFA. You don't need the distraction of the vigilance system until you're confident with the rest.
