Yeah Caltrain loco are cool I’m gonna be buying it I hope Lirr locomotives are released in the future.
As we know extensions won’t be coming to TSW in the near future. I’ll take another locomotive to drive though!
I hope some of them are longer scenarios including every station stop a 20 minute scenario is fine but I would like to drive the train a lot more.
Even the limited stop services are quite lengthy on Peninsula Corridor, but I'd definitely welcome a bit of variety in the route. I know it's unlikely, but if the new loco DLC could include an additional line or branch (RRO style) to mix things up a bit, that would be awesome (and presumably the F40PH/GalleryCab trains could carry on as normal so it wouldn't screw up existing timetables, etc). One of the great things about LIRR for example (overlooking the lack of variety in trains), is that services start and end in different places so services can be quite different.
Matt I’m looking forward to the peninsula corridor Dlc is there any lirr locomotive’s coming to the DLC cycle for train sim world?
PenCorr svcs are long. Personally looking forward to the mp36 hauled stuff as its the closest thing that runs near me commuter wise via SunRail
No. No use asking, when they want us to know - we'll know. Usually teaser, announcement then release date and official stream
In TS2020 you can drive 300 and something miles to Penzance from London Paddington; with branches to Cardiff, Bristol and Paignton. But in a modern engine and talk of there’s a lot of detail to factor (I get that) but it didn’t take long for London to Brighton to surface. So to say it can’t or won’t be done is silly because they said this for TS. And now look; People can merge Brighton & Bedford, London & Edinburgh etc soon they’ll merge Waterloo with Bournemouth and probably fill in the gaps with branch lines.
At a computer near you since 2018 -- still baseless, still speculative -- and just imagine: still free of charge. Whoopee!
If you have nothing useful or constructive to say, LastTrainToClarksville, why even bother posting? This is a baseline speculation thread after all..
I think the priority in Locomotive DLC's is getting kinda weird, I mean SFJ will now get their 2nd passenger loco while there is still no German Diesel locomotive. I don't know about the 313, it could happen at any time I'd say since DTG doesn't seem to know their priorities anymore.
I am pretty sure that they know their priorities. I would bet my money that the issue lies at DB. Maybe they just can’t squeeze through an appointment for DTG into their timetable or they just simply are not able to provide any suitable diesel loco at this point in time. Fingers crossed that i am wrong and that we see it in the following months . Cheers
Who decides what their priorities should be?! I suspect if you asked 50 users what their priorities would be DLC wise you would get nearly 50 different answers! I would personally rather see a Pacer for TVL before a 313 for ECW but I am sure others will have a different view.
Well with the Mp36 locomotive hopefully the next route will be MBta commuter rail like Worcester Massachusetts or Lowell Massachusetts.
Odd there has been nothing mentioned patch wise. We know nothing will be done about some irregularities with ECW signalling but I was kinda hoping the missing flange squeal (which is in the files) would have been corrected by now.
If there will be a patch which usually happens when dlc releases which in this case should be on Feb 13 and notes to be released either the day before or on the day.
I’m hoping a patch will come out alongside with the next new DLC. If not, I’ll be very disappointed, although not entirely surprised seeing as this is DTG we’re talking about...
I believe the MP36 comes with an ECW update, which I believe includes updates to the signalling, TPWS, AWS issues and some other stuff - release notes will be posted at the time of launch. Matt.
That's a CN Zebra stripe. Now to play: US, or Canada? CN runs from nearly coast-to-coast in Canada, and runs north-south on the ex-Illinois Central line in the US. While I used to live next to the former IC line south of Chicago, and would love for that to be represented, I'm wondering if it'll be Fraser Canyon, where the CP and CN run uni-directional trains. It's a gorgeous line, and would look very good in UE4. The GIF shows an EMD narrow-hood profile, which means it'll be a GP38-2, GP38-2W, GP40, GP40-2W, GMD-1, GP9, SD40, or SD40-2W. Shot in the dark, but I'm willing to bet it's a widecab. MLW units didn't have quite the same arrangement as the EMD's. I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised to hear about a Loco DLC and a new route within a week of each other.
Yes - the mp36 and what looks like a CN route. They have not mentioned anything beyond that, they never have and never will. You might aswell assume they'll never make MBTA or whatever cause as far as we know they never will.... They might, but there has never ever been even a hint at anything like that
well MBta would definitely be cool like Lowell Massachusetts to Boston or Worcester Massachusetts to Boston those are the routes I would definitely drive.
Will Canada be what breaks TSW route release structure? I sure hope so. Will this be the only route set in a another country or will 2020 bring us all new countries and a new release structure?
What engines hold CN's black and white stripes. F units and etc are out as it had handrails. Something GE maybe?
So far from the teaser, It looks like there will be a GMD GP9 (either for locals or as a yard switcher) for the new route. As for the others (probably more other EMD/GMD Locos), well see for sure.
Only problem with that is that the red from the rear is right there, making it hard to loop the gif. Not saying it isn't, just that it might be more than expected. I'm wondering personally if it won't be a GP38 or SD40; they have 2 GP38's modeled already and 1 SD40 made, plus all the sounds that go with it.
