Hey everyone, me again! So finally, after like one year, I'm bass fishing! I have a general understanding where bass fish are, because I've seen many tournaments on t.v. BUT! This issue is the rigs. Can y'all give me any quick tips for a beginner? So far, the "rat l trap" is working the best - but nothing else works.
The rattletrap is probably the single best lure in the game; for many fish species. Besides that, time of day, depth & type of cover are important factors. Top water lures, frogs, buzzbaits are strong with bass in & around weedbeds. Swimbaits can be very effective in the mid water. If you're in mid to deeper water diving crankbaits work well. Remember retrieve rates are important. I tend to do best with stop & go & flipping between slow to mid range retrieve with crank baits & swimbaits. The top water lures, slower is usually better but, experiment & find what works best for you.
Thanks for the replies! Yesterday I played a casual online match, and I caught some different species like salmon, it was very exciting. My amateur bass fishing career is going well so far, too.
Try the Baby D stroyer - Watermelon red, Its probably one of the best Lures in the game. I use it first choice and the Rat l as a second some times.
