So, we already have a B&LE route. I'm pretty sure we also have some B&LE reskin for diesel locomotives. But what we don't have is likely the most iconic steam locomotive class of the old Bessemer line. The Texas type. These mighty superpower machines used to haul trains of ore up and down the lines of B&LE. One survived. Number 643 has been preserved and even restored to working order in the '80s, but she never ran. Nowadays, she is just sitting outside, deteriorating in the weather after the shed she was in was demolished. I'd absolutley love to see this mighty piece of iron do what it was made for - hauling iron ore on the Lake Erie line. Wouldn't you?
Good news. 643 has now been obtained by the Age of Steam Roundhouse, and is no longer in existential danger.
Great to hear! Unfortunately, if the locomotive were made for TS now, it wouldn't have an official route to run on. The B&LE route was pulled from the Steam store a few days ago.
There was an issue with naming rights or something, and G-Tax decided it would be better to pull the route from the store instead of fixing it.
