Since I don't have a lot of European routes and the Steam autumn sale is on, what do you think is the best purchase right now?

I have these in the UK:
    - WCML: Preston-Carlisle (PSC)
    - Great Western Express (GWE)
    - Spirit Of Steam (SoS)
    - Riviera Line (RLE)
    - Alredale & Wharfedale (AWL)
    and these in Germany:
    - Maintalbahn: Aschaffenburg-Mlltenberg (MTB)
    - Linke Rheinstrecke (LFR)
    - Leipzig-Dresden (BLD)
    - Nürnber-Würzburg (NWB)

Only know german and austrian content, but that pretty well.
Salzburg - Rosenheim as well as Ludwigsbahn are great value at a 75% discount. Those two would be my top choices.
Mittenwaldbahn is on discount too, one of the my personal favourites with very special rolling stock, fun gameplay and stunning scenery. TSGs best product to date IMO!
If you were to get the Mittenwaldbahn, perhaps consider the E94 Railtour pack as well. The two combined with the Rheinstrecke that you already own, make up a very neat package that'll keep you busy for a long time and is a bit different from the usual german content.

If you like to expand more to the german/austrian side, I would pick frankenbahn with the br 147. Its a very good route, but the new 2018 timetable with the br147 make sit even a way etter. You get unusual formations with n wagens. But like in every tsw route, to get layers you need routess, and for laer on that route you nee dmore rooutes, until you have 30 german dlc like me.

JT Preston to Carlisle. You get a long, fairly scenic route plus the challenge of driving a traditional UK AC electric tap changer loco.

Depends on what you usually like, eg rural or suburban, high speed or more quiet, etc but my favourites from your list are AWL, RLE and PSC for UK and BLD and NWB for Germany
