Route Birmingham - Crewe Feedback Thread

    Stafford station has about five public information signs on the first platform, but nothing on any of the others. No platform numbers, no wayfinding.. nothing.

    On the 805 timetable on 323 farewell rail tour why is there no crewe to Birmingham Just Birmingham to Crewe .

    Crewe to London Euston services from LNWR are not present in the 2025 timetable

    Would these be Trent Valley services by any chance, so would be better in Trent Valley rather than Birmingham.

    Did a service with a 350. Well, two services. First one i tried prompted me to lock doors even though were already locked. Then on another service after setting up aws etc, upon passing a magnet it didn't clear the aws sunflower from self test. Had to bring train to a stand and reset

    1u29. At end of service when unloading passengers came up, it never told me to lock doors ever. I tried but didn't complete that run unfortunately.

    I don't know if this is mentioned somewhere in the 22 pages of forum posts. But is there someone who could clarify the holding brake of the class 350 for me? Every time I try to make a smooth stop, it will apply like 1.8 bar of brake pressure to engage the holding brake. But I cannot imagine that this would be a real nice thing to experience in real life. It just slams the brakes on and throws it to a stop, and I can imagine people will fall over or at least have an uncomfortable experience if this thing would stop. Any people in real life who travelled in this train and can confirm this behaviour? It ruins (for me) the satisfying part of stopping the train because it doesn't really matter how you brake. The holding brake will make sure a rough stop is guarantied.

    Yes, I agree, it's a real shame.
    Generally speaking, I don't find driving the Class 350 very pleasant.
    First, it feels like there are more than four traction notches (PC/keyboard).
    And as for the brakes, I much prefer the Electrostars. Had a run on ECW recently, they were so smooth in comparison.
    People could have stood inside without holding on... or sleeping like a baby...

    Wish there was a way to skip that 15min wait at new street on the 805 timetable. Stupid xbox

    Pretty sure it kicks in at too high a speed, making it a really jolting stop.

    The 710 does similar, but kicks in at a lower speed, so you hardly even notice it.

    So on the new timetable why can only drive the blue 66 with containers and the other 66s do the rest like aggregates and rhtt.

    It's worse than that.

    Quite often you get attacked by the usual suspects for being a 'complainer'.

    Has put me right off this place and the game in general to be honest.

    On the new timetable how come there are no tfw jobs from Crewe to Birmingham. Just Wolverhampton to Birmingham. On the original one there was two.

    I mean fair. I don't understand people coming on the forums and call you a complainer. Not only that, but I mean it's a feedback thread and while chances of actually seeing some things fixed are basically zero, it's still a way of pointing out that some things are not working as intended.

    Just don't read the feedback forums if you don't want to see people complain. Don't really see the point of calling people out "complaining" if this is the place to provide your feedback. It's a sim, of course people will nitpick little details. That's only fair, since you expect some things to be true to real life.

    Always been Wolverhampton hasn't it due to off route to Shrewsbury etc which isn't part of route.

    PRE - 2025

    1G00 _ CRE - BHM

    Rest between BHM - WVH / WVH - BHM

    1D19 _ WVH - CRE

    Don't forget the Pacer run from Brum to Wolverhampton of which I seemingly was the only one who had it, though it's since gone :/

    Just been for a run out in the 390 from Stafford to Crewe, it was fine but I've noticed that all of the "LSL" stock is no longer parked up at Crewe Diesel, very odd.

    Class 87 tour 1Z99 can't finish; stuck at Wolverhampton. Deleting train doesn't work. Disappointed.

    As an aside, 1Z99 should not be used as a normal train headcode. It's reserved for a loco or traction unit going to assist/clear a failed train off the main line.

    May already have been reported, but the platform announcements at Sandwell and Dudley for a Down TfW Cambrian service were reciting xxxx to Aberystwyth calling at Aberystwyth only.

    Is there any chance of the many documented faults on this route (AWS magnet for example) being rectified?

    First proper run on the route. Crash near Crewe. 9S47 in the Pendolino.

    I don't know if it was noted before but there is an evident inconsistency in terms of braking force between the 350/3 and the /1 /2. The /3 takes a fair amount of time to come to a stop even with emergency brake applied. I don't know if it's prototypical but is very frustrating. I hope this will be looked at and eventually patched.
