    Most of the jobs into Birmingham you have to stop almost on top of a red signal. It won't register if you fall more then 5 yards short. I thought they was gonna stop this crappp about stop like 2 yards from a red signal. Also anyone who got the update did it sort out job times and showing the correct length.

    Another example where proper testing and DTG oversight should have been throwing this back to AABS to sort out. The only circumstances where this should be a thing is when the train is just long enough to fit between the signals so it doesn’t hang out the back end and cause a lock up, should the player decide to carry on.

    Yesterday was driving an afternoon Glasgow to Euston 390 from Crewe to Birmingham.

    Got held at a red signal outside Wolverhampton for a couple of minutes, that's fine though as I've got that random experience on high.

    What frustrated me though was when I got the road to proceed into Wolverhampton the game decided to crash.

    Sorry don't have service number but it was on PS5.

    Not sure that's down to AABS as it's still common to do that with freight or empty coaching stock moves. It seems to be a game fault years old

    Well they set the timetable up and whoever compiled it must have filled in the box (or however it works) for proximity distance to the marker for it to trigger. And, as a rookie developer, DTG could have given a bit of mentoring to them on stuff like this.

    24 hours later and I haven't seen a single PS5 player confirm if they are on build number 1140. I've only seen players say they are still on 651 after the patch. Anyone able to confirm if that patch got pushed properly or not?

    This is what's confusing as we have people from DTG and All Aboard saying different things about what they are working on.

    I think we just need a little roadmap of each step they are looking to take:
    1. Confirming all players have the received the correct build number
    2. Any hot fixes for crashes/textures
    3. The promised post-release patches to complete the timetable and do a few other bits mentioned on the stream
    4. Patches for issues highlighted by players since release

    It would just be nice to know what the plan is for release even if they can't give timeframes. I can't work out if the plan is to do 1-4 sequentially over the coming days and weeks or just do everything in one mega patch? I would suggest get number 1 sorted today (it should have been yesterday) and then start to work through 2-4 sequentially.

    Sorry to ping people DTG Jamie DTG Alex Kezz but the communication on this is quite confusing and frustrating. We know you want to fix the problems, but I think those who have purchased and those who might purchase if there's reassurance would really appreciate clarity on what the action plan is. Again, not asking for precise timetable, but just 'this is what we are going to do first, then this...' with regular updates on progress to achieving each step with an aim to have the product in a state ready for customers as quickly as we can.

    Sorry to say thatI will not be purchasing any TSW6 content until it has been confirmed that these issues have been rectified. DTG, have you heard of User Acceptance Testers, I think you need to recruit as many console players as you can to make sure that issues are identified and corrected before release. It is your reputation that is being tarnished and can only lead to a loss of customers.
    I personally would love to help out, I am on a PS5.

    When you end a service in 390 it just ends. You don't actually open the doors once you've stopped the train. Might be by design but I quite liked the fact of opening the doors and handing the service to the ai driver

    I’ve just gone into timetable mode and no matter which class 350 I choose, all the services only go as far as Stafford. Why aren’t they going all the way to Crewe as the title suggests? I’m on series X

    Every job i do into crewe i get out of memory crash about 500 yards from the station. On xbox x DTG [EDIT - Jan - Language] and sort it out.

    This was due to investigation trying to work out which builds are correct and which ones aren't PS5 had a patch go out yesterday and this would put everyone on the correct build, we are aware of the blurry textures and is being looked at.

    I think you’re assuming everyone is on a later build than they are, PS5 are all still on 651.

    This is the thing. It's not clear all platforms are on the correct build yet. It may be the PS5 update needs pushing again.

    Sounds like it's time to face reality, there was never a wrong PS5 build, the mess you are playing is the mess they intended to sell you.

    Yes & it would be great if DTG would realise that rather than sticking their head in a bucket & saying everyone’s on the correct build.

    Yet again we aren’t only suffering the usual wrong build release, but again we’ve got a patch that no one seems to have tested.

    Just another day of throwing LOVE at a wall & seeing what sticks.

    I'm sorry, but you are still creating even more confusion. First you ask people to check for a specific version number. Which (on PS5 at least) still no one seams to be on. And then you just say that was only to investigate.

    Can you please provide a list of which versions are currently the correct buildnumbers? For each platform.

    Same thing for me, I'm on PS5 Pro and I'm on build 651.....we bought and installed the map at 2 pm (Prague Time), I didn't receive any subsequent updates, but I don't know if I already installed the fixed version directly......

    What i can see here on the forums it has a lot of blurry textures and i will say you better stop buying TSW routes for consoles. Practical every new route suffering from it. It sounds rude but change to a pc is my advice. Its not to be bullying but more the realistic answer... I believe they will never get rid of it. :(

    The only hope console users have is stop buying. Forget switching to PC & giving DTG even more money, right now the only point of console users seems to be using them to fund PC development.

    No console market for TSW = half the cashflow gone. No matter how scathing the feedback may get, the only thing that talks is money.

    I feel for the people that are doing that. They are rather awful to look at.

    Joking aside, you have been looking at them since the release of TSW5 that introduced them.
    Please excuse me for not having any confidence that this will be fixed any time soon.

    It hink it's rather insulting actually. To still have a temporary work around from december 2024 still as sticky topic: Dovetail Games - Temporary Workarounds To Help Performance / Reduce Crashes | Dovetail Games Forums
    And on top of that, the advise to dissable layers.
    We buy all this stuff from you to play it in 4k. And that's how it is marketed too. The promotional video on PS5 has all layers active.

    Fair! I was a little shocked that they announced a new game now! It feels very uncomfortable that they do that while so much problems exist on TSW for consoles. It looks like they think we move over to the next subject to hide the problems those are present on their current game.

    Work out how much that would cost me.
    I only own a LOVE laptop.

    So I need a gaming pc and every DLC except the expert 101.

    Then start a gofundme page for TSW Console users.

    For a game that is supposed to be relaxing I'm not allowing myself to get worked up over it. So I've stopped buying dlc now. I'm still here in the forums because I want to buy dlc. I want the game to work properly on the platform of my choice.

    Just wanna put it out there I apologies for saying there was only 4 freight jobs. You actually have to go into each individual 66 and there is quite a few jobs at least 30. It only shows 4 on the loco screen. All the times are showing wrong.

    Alex responded to me on Discord that they should have some comms going out about the plan for this route, but let's see.

    Good first start would be to list the correct build numbers for each platform and then address if anyone has still not received it.

    I suspect the issue with this bad launch is that:
    1. Dovetail pressure developers to keep to a fairly strict release schedule.
    2. This schedule is based on maximising revenue.
    3. Releasing something just after the main game makes sense, as more people are playing the game.
    4. This route was probably furthest progressed vs other routes, so DTG pressured them into releasing now.
    5. It was before they were ready and so it's been a mess.
    We can all understand the need to make DLC profitable, but at some point DTG should think about the players and the impact bad launches have on their own reputation.

    This has honestly been a concern of mine with the expansion of third parties and having new teams develop content. There needs to be standards that are met across the board from all teams, almost like a checklist while they’re creating routes. Is tunnel reverb present? Are track shadows there? Are we making sure stop markers aren’t 3 yards in front of a red signal? Are the way timetables and objectives configured, consistent with previous content? And this also applies with core features since there seem to be inconsistencies with that too. Are platform and passenger announcements applied and applied correctly that align with the standards from the TSW6 core routes? With the more stuff we receive, it’s going to be harder to make sure the standards are met going forward, but they have to be met. We need consistency.

    It is confusing. I'm on PS5. In game build number is 651 but the version number I have is 1.010.000 last updated 15 October. DTG Jamie kept posting about version 1140. If we are on the correct version where has the 1140 number come from?

    Waiting patiently for the correct build to release on PS5 before I part with my money.
    Releasing a broken build of the route and expecting customers to wait until it’s fixed is unacceptable.
    At least I have Battlefield 6 to keep me occupied, but I did fancy a few runs on the new route, oh well.
    Where is the quality control?
    How the hell does this even happen?
