I also don't have much stutter on this route. It runs fairly well on my Xbox series x
Maybe some custom CC Liveries ?
Some of what is uploaded there is really bad and causing stutters on other routes as well.

I'm experiencing a lot of micro-pauses and fps drops outside Blackpool. Can't be my unit, because I never experience performance issues on other routes, except the ones other players notice. I'm here since 2019 and that's an old story: some players just don't mind.

Not in this case. I know what you mean. I downloaded a custom livery for the HST on Edinburgh-Glasgow route, and the stuttering was REALLY REALLY bad. Not so bad here, but definitely noticeable.

I've never had a single stutter on this route since I upgraded to Series X.

Are you sure that HST livery isn't affecting anything else? Have you tried without it to see if it makes a difference?

Well, "not a single stutter" sounds a bit too optimistic. I watched several videos on YouTube, both PC and consoles, and some stuttering is definitely there, exactly where I experience it. I uninstalled any custom livery, so it's not related to it. It's just a beautiful route, not 100% smooth.

It's not optimistic, it's fact. I've never had any stutters at all, not with this route or others.

In fact, I've been on this route today, a few times. Not once was there any stutter, low frame rates, nor any impact on performance.

I have a feeling this is a core issue that I have not yet experienced. Seems performance is all over the place for different people.

Fact, for you :) Micro-stuttering and some major hiccups are all over the place, not just on Blackpool Branches, since the very first routes on PC and consoles (back on PS4 and Xbox One it was just terrible). It seems you're not distracted by this issue, but it's definitely there. You lucky :)

[Deleted; Off topic/insulting - DTG Harry] For your information, I'm am not the only one to not have much in the way of stutters on this route (in fact, there's a post at the top of this page saying such).
I'm not even arguing, just stating my experience is different. Which it is, and can be. How is that trying to argue?

I noticed this woman's shirt is very black like there is a missing texture there, is this intended? Also the 142's Instrument lights do not show light at all, regardless of bright/dim. Is this an issue or are they specifically designed to show up in dark lighting only??

Class 142 instrument lights are working fine on XBOX.

You are not really supposed to notice them in daylight, and they illuminate correctly at night.

Isn't the representation of the rocking (swinging) in the 142 broken in your opinion? The train runs smoothly up to 80 km/h, then at 90-120 km/h it starts to rock so much that it is unrealistic and threatens to derail. Is this some kind of error?

The bounce on the 142 is genuine to how it was in real life.

There's a reason they weren't liked in real life.

This is why, they are bouncy things.

Golden rule when driving the class 101 and 142:

If the passengers don't feel like they're in a mobile tumble dryer, you're doing it wrong. :D

I know this will not :) never get fixed in TSW4!... But at least maybe get it working proper in TSW5 and onward and include the added Keyboard bindings for locos like the Class 08 / 09, which don't have A "Phone to click on." As the image shows, PC or Console, it's either the Tab Key or the Left D-Pad

The Tab key? Also you can go to a signal post telephone on certain routes.

I did look and on this service with the Class 08 there is none. Would be nice but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Regardless, the contact signaller key only works on certain locos that have a radio and it setup to allow it. The Tab key can be used on every loco/unit to contact the signaller.

I stand corrected, and will update the post as required, I for sure thought this option was within the 0 key and when I did not see it there, I took it for granted, seeing that the Tab key is not listed in the settings as an option. I appreciate your reply and clarification.

Don't think this has been picked up on, but when arriving at Preston to platform 3, the 25mph speed restriction for passing over to the other platforms will apply until you've passed the points.

Ive upgraded to a PS5 and can FINALLY play BPB - what an actually amazing route. Still prefer the 142/101 over the loco hauled runs but that's no surprise lol.

Are there any plans to fix PBP for PlayStation 4/4 Pro users any time soon? I've noticed that Just Trains is working on some new DLC packs and was a little curious if they intended to patch/fix their existing route before they release new stuff for sale?

I still absolutely adore this route but I can't be the only one with these issues which can sometimes spoil things a little.
On PS5 (but was similar on Series X)

Frame rate drops really badly between Poulton-le-Fylde and Layton stations on every service.
Doesn't seem to matter what service I'm running but every one with a Class 47 seems to have no passengers on them at all. I know passenger behaviour is shonky at the best of times in the game, but driving long trains with no passengers constantly does take a bit of immersion from the whole experience.
Likewise when ending a service at Preston on Platform 2 and then heading over to Platform 1 to take the next service back to Blackpool, invariably the Pacer (or 101) arrives at Preston from wherever and is always empty. Again very unrealistic, and there's just something a bit naff about driving empty passenger trains.
