Greetings. Please tell me, this may be the reason that the PZB indicators do not work. this is not a failure, but a bug. I tried resetting the simulation, errors, loading on different routes - it doesn't help. The security system still works on the magnets, but the indicators are not lit.

I made this screenshot at a training ground with a single locomotive. On routes with a full train power supply, the train operates normally and the ZD indicator is turned off.

From this picture its impossible to say whats wrong. If I spawn a single loco and set up PZB correctly it looks like this for me:

I agree. Previously, I could just enter ZD 9 18 2 22 in the panel, and this was enough to make PZB work fine, in Obere Zugart (85) mode. But I missed the moment when something happened and now I'm trying to figure it out.

Can you actually drive like this? It looks to me like you have not selected a direction...

EDIT: just noticed that you are actually moving in the picture, so just forget this question...

My screenshot shows the moment when PZB Zwangsbremsung was triggered, but as you can see, there is nothing on the indicators..

Does this happen every time you spawn an expert 101 and try to set it up?

After restarting the simulator, the indicators started working. I don't have any idea what it depends on yet, but if I see any pattern, I will definitely write here.

If I go to the FTF route, in Free Play mode, and take control of a train, for example IC1279 (Expert), Fulda to Frankfurt, then PZB is not activated properly, it looks as if reverse reverse is enabled - the 1000 Hz magnet is flashing. But if I initially download this service and appear in the cab, everything works normally, and when entering ZD data, LZB (in Fulda)is immediately activated

This is because if you spawn on foot the train is AI controlled and on the BR101 Expert the AI controlled trains run in what is essentially non-Expert mode. I just spawned on foot at Fulda 11:45 and then waited for the IC 1279 service to start at 11:46 and then took control over it. The train was in non-Expert mode so I had to go back into the machine room and enable LZB/PZB and Sifa and then everything was working correctly.

It sounds from what you are describing that you didn't perform these steps correctly. To enable LZB and PZB you first close the LZB/PZB MCB, then open the LZB/PZB Cut-Off valve. For Sifa you move the toggle switch for the Sifa isolation switch to "Normal" and open the Sifa Cut-Off valve. It is important that you do these two steps for either system you want to enable. The circuit breakers only turn on the electrics of the system, but without opening the Cut-Off valves the safety system will not be able to enforce a penalty brake application (since the valve is closed) so it will run in an inhibited mode and for PZB/LZB this is indicated by the flashing 1000 Hz. This is all prototypical and expected.

Lastly, if you do it this way you will need to set the train data on the ZDE panel since the memory of it will have been wiped and it then starts in "Grunddaten" when you close the LZB/PZB MCB.

In hindsight this is not ideal (that spawning on foot forces trains to non-Expert mode) but during development it was the solution I found to prevent some nasty issues with faults occuring on AI trains or Safety systems triggering for AI drivers (mostly a sound issue since AI trains do not use Simugraph). I have found better solutions to this now and hopefully this should be more convenient in future Expert DLCs, and I may be able to patch the 101 Expert as well, but I can't promise that.

This is a bug that was fixed a while ago but unfortunately just a few days after the previous patch was finalized. So it’s the oldest fix in the upcoming patch and as such have been in waiting for some time.

You can see it described under bug number 80 on page 2.

I can only get ZDS to work in free room when I spawn a formation with 2 101 coupled together not when I spawn them individually then couple them

I couple them, then put battery switch to off on both locos, turn zds (br 120) on for both locos, turn battery to on for both locos, this should do it.

Melanie To turn off and on the battery on both locos was for me also the trick! You can see if the ZDS120 is working properly by the fact that you have 2 separate engines active in the DMI/left display

I kept my word, but perhaps not in the way you anticipated? ;)

I am hopeful that you will agree that I made the right decision when we are ready to go into more detail about what the new Kassel-Würzburg Expert timetable contains :)

    95. Shutdown feature can permanently lock the cab or machine room doors if it is initiated when doors are open.
    Status: Work in progress.
Workaround: Make sure any doors are closed before initiating the shutdown.
Details: If the automatic shutdown function, located in the Sim Control page on the EBuLa, is triggered when either the cab doors or machine room doors are open, these may become permanently locked without the possibility to open them.

    96. Mannheim-Kaiserslautern Expert timetable is missing most services
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.
Details: Due to a mistake in one of the build files for the BR101 Expert DLC the MKN Expert timetable is missing all services except those that include the BR101 Expert, BR612 or BR628. A fix has been submitted to DTG and hopefully this fix will be available concurrent with the Kassel-Würzburg BR101 Expert Gameplay pack release.

That's interesting. Any chance you could take a screenshot of the train selection screen in the Mannheim-Kaiserslautern Expert timetable?

I have a problem to start up the train after shutting it down using the auto shutdown function on the EBuLa page: I always get the error message "PNEU HBL-Druck kleiner 7 bar" and cannot close the main switch. No compressor is running so I wonder how to continue in this situation.
I have done exactly the same steps as in the scenario "Evacuation" from the new gameplay pack. At a certain point in the scenario, the status bar of the left MFD says "SA heben" and then "HS schließen". But when I add a new 101 with coaches in a free roam scenario and do exactly the same steps, I only get the "PNEU HBL-Druck kleiner 7 bar" and "Druckluft HS zu gering" in the status bar and I cannot start the thing up. What am I missing?
    - Battery is on
    - SIFA "Absperrhahn" is OPEN
    - Direction set to forward
    - Brake key enabled
    - "Stromabnehmer" is UP and 15kV indicated

How can I get the pressure up to 7 bar?

After turning on the battery, you would close the LSS "hilfsluftpresser" until your loco has the minimum pressure to raise panto. After that you should be able to close the main power switch "hauptschalter". From that point the main compressor pumps your loco up to 9.8 bar.

Takes a while with empty reservoirs.

The problem is that most of the time, when I close the "Hilfsluftpresser", it immediately jumps to the "open" position. The LSS 34F05 "Hilfsluftpresser" behaviour is strange: Usually when the loco is cold and dark, and batteries are still switched off, I can close the LSS and it stays closed. But when I switch on the battery, the LSS immediately is in the "open" position and cannot be closed - seems the fuse immediately blows. I tried it so many times and sometimes (I do not know why), the LSS stays closed but still - nothing happens. No compressor is starting and pumping air.
I can also rise the panto but the main switch never can be closed. I think something is bugged there or I am missing something.
I also noticed that when I reset the failure simulation in the EBuLa screen, I can successfully close the LSS for the Hilfsluftpresser but that does also not activate the compressor. I am always stuck there. And why is the fuse always blowing in the first place unless I reset the failure simulation.

    Here is a video:

Ok after raising the panto, put the hs down to off and back to on. Hold the switches about a second in off and 2 sec in on position.

Then the hauptschalter should turn on (noisy clagg) and the main compressor starts a loud noise. Check if you have 16kv.

The lss has to jump in the off position after the supply air pressure is pumped.

After rewatching your video i noticed you didnt wait the startup procedure to the end. Further the master switch has to be in off until the loco is fully ready after enabling the battery.

    So do this:
    - battery to on and wait until the loco is ready
    - check the pressures, put the lss hilfsluftpressor to on and wait until it turns off by it self (there is no compressor noise)
    - put the masterswitch inside and into the forward position and open the brake key

    - raise the panto and check visually + the voltage has to be 15kv.
    - turn on the hs, keep it in the on position until you hear the clag.

    - now your main compressor takes over (loud noise)

Also the power lever has to be in the off position.

I am sorry but that does not work either: As soon as I enable the battery, the LSS always "blows" - it jumps to the open position when I try to close it.

    - Enabling battery
    - Waiting for both screens to be in their normal state
    - Trying to close the LSS
    - Master switch was off
    - Power lever is off

As I said, when resetting all the faults in the loco, I can close the LSS but even when I wait for 15 minutes, nothing happens, the pressures stay the same.
I tried it so many times and I begin to think that this whole startup procedure seems to be bugged: Sometimes the LSS does not blow and stays closed even though I tried the same procedure as before (where the LSS blew). Why does it not stay closed unless I reset all faults in the loco? And why does nothing happen even when it is closed? Hmmm. I hope the developer reads this and can help a bit with that? I really think that something is not working as intended. In the scenarios, the startup procedures work just fine - it seems that the loco behaves differently in scenarios.

The manual requires a different procedure (which also does not work):

    - Battery on
    - Make sure, the Federspeicherbremse is applied (Button is lit) -> It is never lit and nothing happens when I press it
    - All LSS and MSS must be closed
    - Master switch must be inserted and set to NEUTRAL
    - Wait until all MFD have started up
    - Raise panto and close HS

I did all that too :(

Im sure there is nothing bugged. Believe me with this loco the problem most likley is i front of the screen. A real loco is complex and requires certain knowledge of the systems.

Did you raise the pantograph? Is your loco below a overhead line?

Yes, usually the problem stares into the screen, I know ;) I am sure I cannot be the only one trying to fire up this thing without success. And affirmative, the loco is below a overhead line and when I raise the panto, I get 15kV. But the same problem is that the HBL is below 7 bar and will never change, even with the LSS closed. In a German discussion board I am also roaming around, somebody had the same issue and nobody could help. Can you start this thing up without problems after shutting it down in the EBuLa menu?

Strange problem..., the only thing left not mentioned by now:

Did you sit into the driver seat? Sounds stupid but the loco in tsw is only fully under players control after using one of the driver seats. This means for every loco.

Not at home so i cant test your situation currently...

Try you will find out im sure.

Also check if the loco by shutting down via ebula might go into the "earthed mode".
