I've been thinking of creating a BR 145 version of the thread I made one and a half years ago for the BR 101 Expert for a while, but haven't had time to do it until now since I've been focused fully on bug fixing.

Much of the same disclaimers as the last time holds true this time around, but I'll copy them over just to make the thread self contained.

What this thread is for: Me communicating bug status/updates and troubleshooting/workaround steps and for people to ask questions about these bugs or steps.

What this thread is not for: Reporting new bugs. That should be done in the Feedback Thread.

    What the status means:
"Submitted to DTG": This bug has been fixed and submitted to DTG for QA testing.

"Work in progress": We are working on fixing the bug right now. We can't promise it will be in the upcoming patch, but if not, it should be in the second patch.

"Can't fix": This bug can't be fixed in the foreseeable future. If such a bug is listed, more details are provided.

    1. AI SPAD terminates service GAG 41345, S1 31708 and EZ 45300 on spawn.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Workaround: Find the origin location of the service and spawn in on foot at that station 5 minutes before.

    2. Service DGS 75932 Part 3 (among a few others) ends on an un-electrified track.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: I did not write down the affected services but no service driven by an electric locomotive now uses track 5 (which lacks overhead line electrification).
Workaround: It may be possible to approach Leipzig-Engelsdorf track 5 at 40 km/h and then coast without power to the final stop.

    3. BR 145 Expert is missing suspension physics
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.

    4. Scenario Expert. Simply Delivered has scoring criteria that is unachievable.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.

    5. Scenario Nahverkehr has scoring criteria that is unachievable.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.

    6. Rain effects not animating properly with side windows on RBH BR 145.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Workaround: Keep the windows closed when it's raining! :D

    7. "Wagenliste" and "Bremszettel" paper sheets not illuminated by timetable light on Nahverkehr and RBH variants of the BR 145 Expert.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Workaround: It may be possible as a workaround to stand up from the desk and use the flashlight, or to use the cab lights.

    8. Main Reservoir Gauge not measuring the correct pressure.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: The main reservoir gauge in the cab, on release, measures the actual main reservoir pressure rather than the internal main reservoir pipe pressure. This means that it will remain filled even if the exterior main reservoir line angle cocks or a fault occurs with the main reservoir cutout valve. The MTD references the correct pressure and can still be relied on.
Workaround: If you encounter the fault notifying you that the main reservoir pressure is too low ("HBL-Druck zu gering"), and the gauge is showing a pressure above 7 bar, check that none of the angle cocks for disconnected main reservoir pipes are open. If none are open, go into the machine room and open the "Main Reservoir Bypass Valve".

    9. Spurious/false Driver Assist prompt for Double Throttle Acknowledgement.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: Certain faults on the BR 145 will need a double throttle acknowledgement (cycling between "Min" and "Off" twice). On release the driver assist logic is not working correctly and this causes the prompt to remain even when the acknowledgement is no longer required.
Workaround: Either cycle the throttle between "Min" and "Off" until the HUD traction lock disappears, or use the MTD Störung page as a gauge.

    10. Battery needle not animating correctly on non-player controlled locomotives.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: If you have not taken a seat on a locomotive (for example in cold and dark scenarios) the locomotive is not counted as player controlled and Simugraph is not running. The logic has been changed for the battery gauge to behave correctly without Simugraph.
Workaround: Take a seat before enabling the battery or ignore the reading until seated.

    11. Important safety system alerts only plays in cab view.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: Sifa and PZB voice outputs did not play in external views. This has been fixed.
Workaround: Spam the Sifa acknowledge keybind while flying around in external view ;)

    12. Rolling sounds are too quiet between 30 and 90 km/h.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: Rolling sounds have been improved to sound correct between 30 and 90 km/h.
    Workaround: None.

    13. New cab alert sounds.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: The cab alert sounds (Sifa, PZB Zugbeeinflussung etc) have been improved with new recordings.
    Workaround: None.

    14. Re-enabled machine room sounds when exterior doors and windows are open.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: These are disabled previously because playing everything together meant exceeding the channel limitation. Fortunately we found some workarounds.
    Workaround: None.

    15. Improved HBU sound mixing.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.

    16. Improved disc brake squeal audio.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.

    17. Changed FBOA (warm/hot brake detection) call to be direct call when hot, instead of GSM-R emergency as in reality.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.

    18. BR 145 Expert lacks snow effects on the exterior body.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.

    19. Bottom grey strip on the BR 145 is missing in livery designer.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.

    20. Improved horn sound.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: The horn should now have a more realistic sound end fade.
    Workaround: None.

    21. More sound improvements.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: Missing thermobox sound, LSS cabinet sound on the Nahverkehrspaket loco, improved rolling sound samples, inverter audio improvements and improved emergency brake hissing sound.
    Workaround: None.

    22. Changed voice output logic to match the prototype.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: The general voice outputs (Sifa, PZB etc) should always sound as long as the LSS Voice Output is closed and ZSG is working. If at least one MTD is powered then the "Störung" voice outputs will also work, regardless of whether the cab is active or the working MTD is in the other cab.
    Workaround: None.

    23. "Prüf/Stör" MFA light doesn't stop flashing above 5 km/h if LZB is isolated.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: The light should stop flashing above 5 km/h.
    Workaround: None.

    24. "Zugbeeinflussung" voice output doesn't sound if the 500 Hz light goes out while in restrictive mode (alternating flashing 70/85).
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: There should be a single Zugbeeinflussung voice output if the 500 Hz light goes out in this mode.
    Workaround: None.

    25. The coupler screw can not be interacted with if the hoses are connected.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: This has been changed so that you can always tighten or loosen the coupler even if the hoses are connected.
Workaround: Make sure to tighten the coupler fully before connecting the air hoses.

    26. The electric brake lever can become uncoupled from the train brake and not possible to re-couple if spamming the train brake key.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: It should now be possible to tap the train brake quickly without fear of the electric brake lever becoming uncoupled.
Workaround: Do not spam the train brake key but instead make controlled movements (even after the fix I would advise this strategy). "Fanning" the brake can cause stuck distributor valves!

    27. Distributor valves can become stuck on certain wagons if "rowing" or "fanning" the train brake (Feature)
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: If Expert Mode is enabled it will become very important not to quickly release the train brake after making a train brake application (or vice versa), otherwise you risk stuck brakes on the wagons. Wait at least 10 seconds before releasing (or re-applying) after making a train brake application (or release). Driver Assist will warn you once. If the train seems to be stuck in a brake application you will need to stop the train and correct this issue by either making a full service brake application, or (if that doesn't work) go into emergency, or (if that doesn't work) vent the distributor control reservoir fully (Distributor Release Valve) on the affected wagon(s). Wagons with "Dako" distributors (Sggmrss, Sdggmrss 738) are especially prone to this issue.

    28. Display buttons are not correctly illuminated on the RBH BR 145.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Workaround: None.

    29. It is possible to clip through part of the brake equipment module (compressor section) inside the machine room.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: Added collision volumes to prevent clipping.
Workaround: Don't walk through obstructing equipment or there is a small chance that you may get stuck.

    30. Improved pantograph selector/selection logic to work as per the prototype.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: If the pantograph selector is moved to a new setting while moving the main circuit breaker should open and the pantograph should drop. This doesn't happen currently but has been fixed.
    Workaround: None.

    31. The BR 145 Expert cannot be controlled from the Wittenberger cab car.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: This fix was applied to the Wittenberger cab car rather than the BR 145 Expert DLC, so it may not be released concurrent with the BR 145 Expert patch.
    Workaround: None.

    32. Improved traction lock logic based on indirect and direct brake.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: Currently on the BR 145, the traction is locked as soon as the brake cylinder control pressure (from the indirect brake) exceeds ~ 0.2 bar. This is not correct and it should instead be possible to apply traction for 2 minutes in this condition (after that the traction is locked but can be reset by cycling the throttle to Off and back). The direct brake should also cause a traction lock above 25 km/h. Both these behaviours have been corrected to match the prototype.
    Workaround: None.

    32. Improved the performance of the automatic overcharge function.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: After releasing the train brake the locomotive will automatically overcharge the brake pipe to 5.2 bar and then slowly (over approximately 2 minutes) reduce the pressure back to 5.0 bar. This speeds up release and prevents stuck brake valves. Currently this function is too weak on long trains and I have reworked it to better reach 5.2 bar, regardless of train length.
Workaround: Use manual overcharge after releasing if the brake pipe pressure does not reach 5.2 bar, or drops too quickly. Note that the brake cylinders will still take 20-60 seconds to release, and on long trains it may still take close to 2 minutes to release a full service brake application. Do not use "Quick Release" thinking it will speed up the train brake release if the pressure was already 5 bar, it is more likely to cause stuck brakes if abused!!!

    33. Improved ZSG (ISG) & MVB fault behaviour/indications.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: Some of the fault states for losing both ZSG (for example if both ISG fails) have been corrected to work as the prototype and a complete loss of MVB (Multifunction Vehicle Bus) should now be correctly displayed on the MTD with red status bars.
    Workaround: None.

    34. Added a new button on the Bremszettel for changing the timetable speed.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: The button that was previously used (on line 16) was a placeholder and the new button is now located where the timetable speed is written (bottom right corner) as this is more intuitive and allows for a more descriptive button label. The logic is still the same.
    Workaround: None.

    35. The state on the Bremszettel and Wagenliste sheets can become wrong if moving far away and coming back (persistance).
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: Some of the data was not stored in a model component which meant that it was destroyed when the view component is unloaded.
Workaround: If changing cab and the data seems wrong: either cycle the timetable class or the timetable speed to update it.

    36. Added Liberec - Stará Paka freight wagons, Uacns and LFR Laaers wagons to the Wagenliste/Bremszettel data.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: These should now show up correctly on the Wagenliste and contribute to the calculations on the Bremszettel.
    Workaround: None.

    37. Liberec - Stará Paka locos/coaches are missing from the Wagenliste/Bremszettel data.
    Status: Work in progress.
Details: These were not added in time for the first patch but I will update this thread when they are added.
    Workaround: None.

    38. Many new services with loco startup, coupling and train preparation added to the Leipzig-Dresden Expert Timetable.
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
    Details: Read below.

    39. Changed train data objectives to match text in scenario "Faulty Friday".
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: The objective conditions should now match the text popup in the scenario, however unfortunately the train length (ZL) number is still wrong (but it's wrong consistently).
Workaround: Follow the pointers but then afterwards input the correct data.

    40. Missing fault status and V=0/V>0 instructions for the NV specific LSS.
    Status: Work in progress.
Details: The following LSS have missing fault statuses 46F01 and 32F66 (FMZ and FIS).
Workaround: If the door control when pulling Dostos with an NV BR 145, or the PIS stops working it is likely that one of these (respectively) LSS have short circuited.

    41. The BR 145 Expert triggers traction lock when driving Dosto coaches or emergency brake application when pushing (cab car controlling).
    Status: Submitted to DTG.
Details: These issues seems to have mysteriously been fixed as a fortunate side effect of the improvement to the traction lock logic and the safety system emergency logic so I have not been able to reproduce the issues after these changes but I'm not exactly sure what fixed it because I only started working on fixing these issues after the previously mentioned fixes. If this issue re-appears please let me know, but for now I have driven several Dosto services both with the 145 at the front or the rear without any issues :)
Workaround: For the traction lock issue, make sure that you overcharge the brake pipe if it seems to dip below 5 bar, and for the emergency brake issue: first try to close the LZB/PZB cutoff valve and the Sifa cutoff valves, if this doesn't solve the issue: close the Direct brake cutoff valve in the machine room of the BR 145.

    38. Many new services with loco startup, coupling and train preparation added to the Leipzig-Dresden Expert Timetable.

I have added around 25 new playable services (and over 80 new services in total) as well as heavily modified a few of the old services that I felt could be improved.
Unfortunately I didn't take the best notes so I probably have missed some services in the list below, but these should be the "highlights".

    Added Services:
    DGS-41357 (grain empty)

DGS-41358 (grain loaded) - double headed

    DGS-99765 (grain empty)

DGS-99766 (grained loaded) - double headed, to Grossenhain

KT-50315/50266: Leipzig-Riesa-Leipzig with shunting and loco startup at Riesa.

    KT-68365/68366 (same)

GAGC-47761: Heavy tanker train that starts at Röderau and goes to Weißig in the morning, the wagons are then uncoupled and the locomotive continues to Friedrichstadt as T-65769 where it is shut down. Later in the day it is started up again, runs light loco to Weißig where it coupled to empty wagons (requires a brake test) and then the train runs to Leipzig-Engelsdorf as GAGC-47760

DGS-59846: Empty tank train from Riesa to Leipzig

DGS-52645: (double headed) heavy tank train from Leipzig to Riesa

DGS-95607 (double headed) heavy tank train from Leipzig to Dresden.

EZ-51716: Manifest from Leipzig to Riesa

    Modifed Services:
EZ-51671: Manifest from Grossenhain to Friedrichstadt dropping off wagons at Coswig, then adding wagons at Friedrichstadt and finally continuing to Alstadt.

EZ-52182/52183: Shunting at Leipzig and then a startup to prepare for the outbound journey to Halle.

EZ-52185/52187/52184: Shunting at Leipzig, then later running to Riesa (loco startup and train preparation) then finally a return to Leipzig with a new formation.

EZ-52193/52194: Leipzig to Riesa leaving the wagons and then a startup at Riesa later during the day and returning with new wagons to Leipzig.

DGS-41336/KT-43341: Changed formations to be longer.

    General fixes:
Issues where southbound IC services get held for up to 10 minutes after Dresden-Neustadt by a RB train from Dresden-Friedrichstadt should now be fixed.
