indeed! Where I lived growing up, they ran along the back of our house carrying steel from Shotton Steel Works (around 4-5times a day!) ..over the years locos used for the run were 37's/20's/31's/47's & i even remember when i was very little, steam engine running along the line as well as DMU !
just dug this up, taken in 1986 on the shotton line carrying Steel from shotton steel works... this brings back memories for me!!
I agree the Class 20 would be an excellent inclusion and could feature on most routes. They are one of my favourite locomotives and they sound great too.
Yeah I'm in too. To much nostalgia to not!! Plus I spend a lot of time with this lady while waiting for my son to finish work (he's 15 and volunteers there, has done for 2 seasons now) She's at lakeside and Haverthwaite which if you don't know is a small steam heritage line in the lake district at the southern end of Windermere. If when all this crazy lock down is over and you find yourself in and around its worth a stop in if only for my shameless promotion of the place! Fantastic aquarium at the lake end along with lake cruises and a nice motor museum within a mile of the other. Here's a Google link for anyone overseas to check it out, great selection of photos on there too. https://maps.app.goo.gl/TLCVRoQfk8q5xttT6
