At night, the German locomotives appeared too bright light from the monitors. Here is a photo. What can be done with the settings? I will be glad to everyone who can help. Thanks.
I have the same issue. I also tried to play around with the different settings but still haven't found the one causing the issue...
Which German Locos? I tried a BR 101 Then I tried a BR 146 Something to do with your brightness settings? These are my Settings for the different types of illumination in the game. Peter
Holy #%@$! I have to check it out now, whether my setup also does this crazy thing? And it does, somewhat. Here's mine, driving the BR101 with Cab Lights on and off: Then with the Cab Lights on, after spending minutes looking at the controls trying to get AFB working: Some more pics in various lighting conditions (dark outside & at station lights): BTW, the HUD doesn't appear in any of it. Not that I mind, but I can't choose. Good to know. And Gauge Lights cannot be set in this modern electric loco with the 'I' key. It doesn't bother me all that much (as my HUD mostly covers it), but I managed to get rid of the problem by going to the Settings menu, then to Graphics > Advanced > Next (page), where I unchecked "Adaptive Bloom".
The I key does not work on all locos - it depends on who made the loco. For the AFB it is normally Ctrl+A on most locos - on some you just move the AFB leaver with the Y to activate it and the Y & C to adjust If you take a picture in the game with the Camera Icon the F3 or F4 HUD does not appear. If you take a picture using Print Screen you can use another program, like Paint.net, to save it. Peter
I didn't know about the Ctrl+A key, thanks. The loco I tried works with Y/C keys, I heard the AFB voice and all, I just left the brakes at 'Self Lapped' or 22%, as the manual instructed. But then the train refused to start rolling when I engaged the power throttle. It turns out that the brakes must be released fully, and then I can get the AFB working. The manual said it needed the minimum brake for AFB to be able to slow the train down when it needed to.
With all trains you have to release the brakes to get them to move. Not sure which BR101 you have which tells you to start off with the brakes on Peter
I've got BR 101 with the TS: Munich-Augsburg Route Add-On DLC. And its bundled PDF manual sais on page 5 that I should: And my game is as vanilla as it can get, no mods of any kind.
I think you have to fully release the brakes first and then move the handle back to Hold. When the train needs to reduce speed on a down gradient the AFB will control the Electric and Air Brakes Peter
Yes I know, that's what I thought too, but apparently I must keep the brakes released completely all the time, or the train won't even start to move. And AFB actually works well accelerating / slowing down with released brakes! It must be just a change happening in the game after a manual gets released, which happenes sometimes.
