[removed by Protagonist - discussion of piracy on the official forum isn't clever]
I am completely against cheating the fanboys via DTG Marketing team even if they hate me cause I am negatively commenting their beloved project until they will open their eyes one day but piracy is a CRAP mate! Steam isn't taking the resources.
If you are mad at their politics just don't play instead of proposing such a a thingy.
Because if Your PC cannot handle Steam, it cannot handle UE4 at high speed either.
Don't feed them, but don't steal them either.
I am talking about a game that I have paid for fair and square that they say they no longer support.... bit like MSTS so why should I let Steam run on my PC when they do not support me...
[removed by Protagonist - argumentative]
What the hell are you guys talking about, lol
I bought a new super gaming PC when I bought TSW because my All In One Graphics could not handle TSW, but feel let down and abandoned by the way it's making me pay again to carry on with my Train Simming. If they produce one that works I will pay big time for it, but not half finished test games.
If they are sure they can produce a Sim with steam, longer routes and an editor, then they should issue shares in a company.
Well if you don't like TSW2 then simply don't buy it, my man.
Just a friendly Sunday Morning chat about things....
Well that's my intention, BUT.. would love to see a good working Sim.
But till then, keep graphics and modelling extremely high fidelity and all the rest as pre-alpha.
It is selling so it's good that way.
If the TSW3 will get "preserved collection" from upcoming TSW2 routes ....
Well.... I won't buy it again.
time will tell...
Still never got answer to my question, Will they cut TSW2020 from needing Steam to log in and use???
They already answered that in the Frequently Asked Questions:
- Will there be any more updates to TSW2020 or its add-ons after TSW2 is released?
But you can still use it, just as you always have. It's not like it's going away. At some point, several hardware generations down the road, TSW2020 may not run quite right. Same thing happened with the original (pre-Steam) FSX. I still got years of enjoyment out of that original title, just like I expect to with TSW2020 and with TSW2. I'm glad the software is being developed and improved to a higher level. And the Preserved Collection is a great idea. Two of my favorite routes are already available.
So from my perspective, as long as you're having fun, that's what counts. And I'm having lots of fun.
But the question was about removing Steam functionality from TSW2020.
We're making no changes to TSW 2020.
This thread is not even a page long and I've already lost the will to live.
No, I don't see why they would?
Please live. Life has many beautiful things like cake or sleeping below the stars or traveling or loving someone!
For me only the cake applies. I have a glass roof in Minecraft so I did the second one and as for the third...
Great. Now I have to get cake
"No more updates" but that does not stop them deleting it from steam so it will not run... so you have to buy TSW2.
No need to get one.. I just cut you a slice of mine...
Nobody is deleting anything from Steam, and nothing's gonna stop running. Where did you read/hear this? TSW2020 (or TSW1, however you wanna call it) and its DLC stay where they are right now, and can be downloaded and played whenever you feel like it
I think this topic has had enough time to brew now. It's a no.
