Can You Disable Editor Shortcut?

Is it possible to disable the shortcut to the world editor [Ctrl]+[E]? I keep triggering it by accident due to some of the AP startup procedures being similar which sometimes causes crashing to occur on return to the scenario.

 

Just hit the play icon and carry on. It's a pain I know (I do this a lot too), but it doesn't break anything.

 

This is not the case, it causes the game to crash with a memory error.

 

Change the Input Mapper for the AP stock so it uses a Different Letter further away from the E

That doesn't happen to me, and it certainly shouldn't be doing that.

 

And you don't code for DTG either
It is a lot harder to change the working of the game rather than a file in your AP folder

I changed they key used in the to stop the AP 86 EP from going in to Run Up/Run Down to the X

 

It does and has for a long time. I replaced my motherboard, processor and HDD and it still does but DTG said it was a BIOS issue although that is part of the motherboard so it has also been replaced. It used to happen a lot more before I switched to a Toshiba performance HDD which has reduced it from all the time to loading between editor/play and on Woodhead BR Blue around the Wath branch.

Also, are you using Fastload? It will help a great deal if you are still using a mechanical hard drive.

It is a new hard drive, I had crashes before and I am having crashes after replacing it so it can't be causing the problem.

 

You are talking about one of the routes, Woodhead BR Blue, which is prone to crashing for a lot of people.
