Since the new update I can't seem to catch Bass at all. I'm talking in any mode. Maybe 2 bass in 20 minutes... It makes me not even want to play anymore. Any idea why?
Sorry you're having that problem. The only thing I can tell is some of the fish populations/areas seem to have been slightly adjusted. It seems that switching lures & tackle for the fish & time of day have been tweaked. This is just speculation, since the Dovetail FSW guys haven't shared Any info about what was in that 30gig update! If it helps at all, I also thought something had gone wrong after the update & btw to the poster above, D3VILDOG8541, that wasn't necessarily a 30gb update for the game more like an uninstall re-install in order to implement fixes to some stability issues. Anyway what I found with Lake Travis bass that worked after numerous try's & feeling like with that & Lake Waldsee Catfish problems I was having was I went to the dock at the top of the map (forget what it's called), used 10lb mono, a frog lure (don't have the name handy) & left the dock turning left, did a 180 so I was facing the dock & cast back just in front of it putting retrieve on '2'. Had a pile of bass in the required time! Hope that helps!
Good point, on the I guess, 'patch' that was put out. I think someone else had posted the multiplayer fishing seems to be better. I haven't checked that out yet. But, I haven't had any crashes in solo yet, so that's a good sign. I just wish they would post some sort of patch notes or info as to what was done. But hey, hats off to Dovetail for working to improve FSW & also bringing us a whole new game. All during this crazy time we're all going through! Happy gaming guys
