I'm currently doing the GWE journey 2R37 London Paddington to Reading, it's snowing blizzard like conditions, and I cannot find any de-icing button. The windscreen is completely iced over and the wipers seem to be placed to high for any real visual aid. Can anyone tell me where the button is if there is one.

There is no de-icing feature in TSW unfortunately.

Isn't there a button for de-icing on the 66? Presumed it wasn't actually connected to any real action, like all the air con, fans and hotplate switches, but nice to see it labelled up.

I'm 100% sure there is a button on the 166 for de-icing but you can click it but it doesn't actually do anything

Suggestion which helps in many low visibility situations....switch to external camera view, front view, and position camera comfortably in front of the nose if the train. Less realistic, but greatly helps.

Also to your other point. The wiper position look to be simulated correctly but agree they are no use at all in the standard seated position. I cant find any way to raise the seating on the Class 166 so I can see out the wiped area.
Danjoda755, yes this seems to be the only solution to be able to see ahead :(
