The class 222 would make a great edition to the game, being the main star of the show of the midland main line for decades, it makes sense for it to be added. Being released in train sim classic by Just trains it was a massive success on the train sim community. Not only being one of the most favourite DMU's to many. Lots of youtubers and people say they would like to see it in game, some even being train sim world 3 ambassador, also with the lack of trains this route carries out it would be amazing to have another addition to the game and serve's a massive role for A.I use as if you have been on the midland main line before there EVERWHERE!!!! Not just for A.I use but it would be great to drive as you can agree they do sound amazing in my opinion. Most of these units have guard only operation meaning they are controlled by the guard which would be fun to do on this train. Also they will be taken out of service at the end of 2023 so maybe so, in classic Dovetail style you could not make a new MML but extend it to Sheffeild which gives DTG the perfect opportunity to include the meridian then with maybe a class 170 or a 156 or something!!! So hopefully I gave DTG a perfect excuse to add the meridian and potentially make a TSW4 out of it! Thanks for listening and I hope this becomes a reality.
Of course it would be in a cross country livery as the class 158 is not common to go to leicester with it going there 1-2 times a day, but to go to leicester the class 170 is very common. sam#2862
The 158 is more common now that EMT have displaced most of their 156s. But even before then I had a 158 between Leicester and Loughborough on many many occasions.
Yeah I wont say its rare to see a 158 at leicester I think they should of announced more rolling stock say the meridian or a new freight loco I totally agree with the 158 desition and why they did it, its suits the nottingham area of the route but is less common the more you go down south which is why they should've added more stock.
Good suggestion mate and I would be genuinely surprised if this idea is floating around somewhere already.
I have always loved the meridian and wished it came to TSW then TSW2 then TSW3 and I found the forums and decided I could share my ideas with the community and its gained a bit of attention.
Great suggestion, the Class 222 is a very pretty train, livery fits her! She would be cool to have on the MML!!
I agree it would suit this route a lot and add to capacity as there are limited trains so it makes sense I agree with everything you said its beautiful to look at!
It's not though, Yeah I like them and enjoy traveling on them and will be sad to see them go, but there are many in the spotting community who just see them as DMUs. Personally I'd love to see them on TSW.
Bring it on and does it tilt like a German Bombardier Regio Swinger from Bahnstrecke Dresden Chemnitz Werdau Tharandter Rampe or not? If yes the first British tilting diesel train
Class 221s owned by avanti tilt, voyagers and wmrdians owned by other companies don't tilt unfortunately though it might change in the future with GBR. Also great suggestion mate and welcome to the forums if no has said it yet.
I'm glad they chose EMT because its so colourful and it suits the 222 way better than the new EMR livery
I need the 222 I've been praying that they'd have a surprise addition in an april fools attempt but alas no I will have to wait for a dlc
Although I would prefer it in a later addition after the extra 15-20 miles sheffield is added to the game
Generally any type of train is referred to as "loco" when it comes to TS/TSW. Although that would be more fitting.
Says who? The whole community? Unless there’s been a vote for what the community wants and the result was what you stated above, then no they dont!
In fairness the response on this thread has been quite positive mate so I can see why he said it although it is a slight over exaggeration.
