Engines roar as this iconic train speeds down the Brighton mainline, it's down to you to drive this beauty in Train Sim world 3: Class 460 "Juniper" EMU Hello all! I am doing a bit a simple suggestion today, the class 460 for the London Commuter route. Anyway lets get straight on with the suggestion: Images: (460 outside of Clapham) (460 standard interior) (2008 class 460) (460 first class interior) Specs: This train has a max speed of 100mph, built by Alstom this train has 366 seats and is obviously in Gatwick express livery. This train uses two types of safety systems: AWS and TPWS. This train uses the Contact Shoe collector using DC third rail with standard track gauge, with a horsepower of 2,700 kWS. With a width of 2.8 meters and height of 3.77 meters (ironic I know) Unfortunately this train did go out of service in 2012 however still uses very similar powering methods to the 387+377 so wouldn't be out of place - Would have a separate timetable however. Scenarios: Gatwick Release: Train: 460 Difficulty - 2 Take this train out of Stewarts Lane to London Victoria then set up this train for an early morning non stop run to Gatwick Airport. The rare trip: Train: 460 Difficulty - 4 Take this train out of Stewarts Land to London Victoria and do a rare service to Brighton, only stopping at Gatwick, Its a rainy and cold day today so expect numerous delays. The last stop: Train: 460 Difficulty - 3 Take this train from Gatwick to Victoria non stop this late night before taking the train to Stewarts Lane to be scrapped. Conclusion: Thanks for reading this short yet effective suggestion: The 460 is a train I've always wanted in TSW and if built like the TSC one, it would be an amazing driving experience for one of the best routes in the game.
Looks at other BML diesel trains with literal wires hanging out of the front looking like a broken washing machine :/
Bring it on and why not make it a bundle with Class 73 just like TSC Class 460 Bundle? If you go to TSC forums The Class 73 Gatwick Express that comes with Class 460 is the correct working one because A & D keys are used correctly on Diesel and Electric modes. For Consoles that is your L2 R2 PS4/PS5 RT LT Xbox One Series X/S controls
Honestly I don't really get everyone's issues with the exterior, sure its sleek and modern compared to most british trains but I think it actually looks quite good.
It's alright but I think it's the big gap and the sort of snow plow shape at the front. It still looks good though. I don't really understand everyone's problems ethier
If you mean the gap between the "windows" and cab then I belive that's either luggage or engine space - I swear another British train has one like that but instead of the front it's in the middle.
I agree and it's time for Masterkey Simulations Class 73 in TSW 3 because it's the proper working version
Omg. I'd love a class 73 (preferably Caledonian Sleeper) but the gx livery for it is soooooo ugly. It makes the Class 460 like the most amazing train in the world
Why do you think is the ugliest train in the uk?. Besides, is the best train i´ve ever seen in my life
I hate the face and nose of the train it just doesn’t look like a normal commuter train it’s just weird
No, they haven´t. They only have a café storage, and that´s why in the UK pendolinos the front door is only for the members of the staff of the train. But, in the Class 460 is different and that´s because the Class 460, are units that worked on the GX time ago, right?. So they have luggage storage for the people who booked a ticket for a First Class seat and luggage storage. when the people who booked that ´´premium´´ arrived at Gatwick Airport, the luggage is sent to the airplane and you just needed to wait for the boarding without your heavy luggage. Now I know why that ticket was so expensive.
Well, you wouldn't see if you didn't want it. Though I'd like a 442 as well. Nah the classes 374 & 425 are ugly to me. Homogenized, rounded, fairing heavy, boring euro trash. It's like the TGV Duplex vs Sud Est/Atlantique/Reseau argument. The former resmbles a 373 that's been packing on the pounds. The 717 is pretty ugly too and yet the 700 & 707 isn't. Not much around that resembles a 460, it's got a unique big-face flavour, I like it.
The Reason why the class 717 is ugly because at the front of it, it has a giant door wich opens up. theres a video on youtube of it being opened. and i agree about the 374 and 425 is ugly but the 425 is not in the uk so i dont know what your saying about that one but i agree about the others.
The 374 maybe the 425 most definitely not (atleast imo) I love the look of the 425 and the 423 the 422 is definitely ugly. But the most ugliest german train has to be the modified br440 with the triangle front windshield
Oh not Br 425 oop, Class 745, with its massive rectangular hole in the boxy chin. The 425 popped in at the last second, though that's a weird one too, got a caterpillar/pillbug thing about that one.
