PC Clinchfield: What Happened At The Union Church?

Was the pastor de-frocked and then the building de-textured?

solicitr reported the same issue and the cause was a mod. Maybe you have the same issue?

 

This appears to have happened with a recent update to certain texture mods done by TheShotte, also including the Gatwick airliners and parts of his CSX MP15DC. It seems that whatever backdoor he was using was closed off by the update.

 

I removed the "Clinchfield Reimagined" mod and the church got its texture back. The mod had worked earlier; one of the changes was a clever sign that was placed in front of the church building.

 

Long story short, the TSW core got updated and somehow messed with the materials on some of the mods as DTG turned off Tessellation (more triangles polys in a model texture) in a bid to save memory (RAM) for performance sake.

A good thing IMO, but in due course mod developers need to update their mods or otherwise, no textures lol.

Hopefully these get rectified quicker than preserved

 

Would be good to have a version of this Clinchfield Reimagined mod without the church retexture, as currently the mod is not worth installing, even though the new ground textures with it are cool.
