In the last time, I thought a bit about implementing conductor mode. I already guess that we won't get help from DTG, so the community has once more to solve riddles on their own. What I have seen on Frankfurt-Fulda for example, that not every Dosto/BR 146-service is able to be spawned with conductor mode. Also, every Dosto Cab Car is able to be driven with conductor mode. So, I guess it's not depending on a train setup, but on the timetable instead. I also remember the setting "spawn with engineer" in the standard service node in the timetable editor. Below that, there was a setting called "spawn with conductor". I asked myself if it really would be that easy to implement conductor mode into timetables but I don't think so.... You're all very welcome to share any info/hints/etc. that could help solving this riddle!
The "spawn with conductor" checkbox will simply spawn a person in the secondman's seat of the loco. It has nothing to do with guard mode, I'm afraid.
I wouldn't waste time or effort on that. I don't think it's a much used feature, and apparently not documented. I have not finished a single service in conductor mode because it was too boring. Probably just me of course.
There are some new conductor mode properties in the 'start service' node when building a timetable in the TSW5 editor. I haven't digged into it, but I guess you can make a service available for conductor mode like this. I think you have to manually make sure that you're using it on suitable stock yourself.
Thanks for the replies so far! I could remember that forcing on guard mode came with a warning like "make conductor mode although not being automated" or so (I can't remember exactly) I could try something with a little test timetable but I already simulated it in TSW4, Would I need to resiumlate again (and are there any problems in TSW5 PC Editor?)
