I am currently unable to access the consist builder on TS2021. It previously loaded perfectly, however just before the TS2021 update, I now get an out of memory crash while the consist builder is loading and there's no way to fix it, it seems. Anyone else having similar issues?

Have you installed the Major Wales Class 180 Adelante Revamp pack? It is known to break the consist editor.

I don't have the Class 180 no, it could perhaps be some ad livery reskins for the MKS 460 which don't work thinking about it?

How would I go about deleting these?

It depends how it was installed. If it used an installer like the Armstrong Powerhouse or Vulcan Productions stuff... it may actually be more difficult as there's rarely an uninstall method included and there's no uninstall script so you can't uninstall it like you would most Windows programs.

If a manual install was used, it's much easier, as you just remove what it put there in the first place... Look at the folder structure of the install package by unziping it and following the folders. If there's also a batch file, right click on it and select edit to look at what it did. It will have usually copied .GeoPcDx files from one folder to another... just undo what it did.

To be honest, it's a long shot it's the MKS 460 reskin doing it. It literally could be anything. Have a think about what has changed since you last realised it was working.

Once you have sorted this, get into the habit of having a Railworks folder back up. Whenever you install something new... live with it for a couple of days to test everything is fine... once you are happy that it is, create a back up of Railworks... and don't add to it until you install something new again, and have tested it works fully. This way, if anything weird happens and you can't seem to resolve it, just delete your main railworks folder, and put the back up folder back on. If someone comes along in a minute to say this is a dramatic, unnecessary option... (usually the same guy who will make the analogy of removing your car engine because a headlamp bulb has failed) just laugh at them. This is why you have back up. It's often faster to just replace the entire folder from a back up than it is forensically trying to de construct what caused the crash. Just wipe Railworks... dump the new one on... go make a brew while the files copy across. With an average size folder and a modern SSD it's perhaps 30 minutes. Compare that to how long you've been trying to work this out for already.

If you use a dedicated back up program, or file sync program, you'll only need to back up the entire folder once, and from that point onwards, it will only back up changes to it, so each back up only takes as long as it takes to write the new files. For backing up the folder I use a free piece of software called "SyncBackFree". For backing up the entire system I use Acronis True Image.

I not only have a Railworks back up folder, but my entire system is backed up using Acronis.... I could wipe my hard drives right now, and within a short period of time have everything back on, right down to the contents of my trash can and the positioning of desktop icons.

Always have a back up. Sensible people will also have a back up of their back up off site, and those that really know will be using a system with redundancy to back up to ( I do), so even multiple disk failures, or a house fire, or theft is covered. Many will scoff at this... right up until they lose something important. I can't remember the last time I unintentionally lost anything... probably some time in the late 1980s.

I know that last bit doesn't help you now.... but it will in the future.

The Class 460 repaint is on Alan Thomson Simulation - Most of the comments are asking when it it going to be fixed
    https://alanthomsonsim.com/?download=mks-class-460-airline-reskin-pack
And the installer puts the repaints in the wrong place

Have a look in your steamapps\common\railworks folder and see if there is a MKS folder - if so Delete it
Important - There is a MKS folder in steamapps\common\railworks\assets don't touch it.

That's how I got it, so I'll delete and see if it works. I also have the BH reskins Virgin 390 installed however I don't quite have all the requirements for that, could that be causing the consist builder to crash?

I'm also having this issue, it gets to about 11% and then cacks it, but i don't have any of the things mentioned above. I do have quite a lot of third party addons and reskins tho.
