I reckon we’ll be looking at a price tag of between £900-£1000 for the PS6. That’s including buying the disc drive separately. It’s getting really expensive now to be a gamer, especially with the subscription service charge each year. I got to pay another £85 quid for PS Extra soon too well technically I don’t, but I like having access to the monthly games they add to the service. I have a huge selection of PS1, PS2 and PSP games via emulation so I don’t need to bother with premium.
As of today the external PS5 disc drives are sold out in every online retailer I have looked here in Canada. That tells me there are a decent amount of people out there planning to get PS5 Pros who caused a run on the drives.
More like scalpers have made a run on the drives with the idea that anyone who can be convinced to pay £700 for a console can also be convinced to pay double or more than retail for a disc drive...
