The c&m runs a little under 90 miles between Bensenville yard in Chicago and Muskego yard and the Milwaukee intermodal station in Milwaukee. Amtrak runs the hiawatha service on the line between Chicago and Milwaukee as well as the empire builder between chicago and Seattle/Portland. CP runs several daily freights on the line as well as unit grain, crude, ethanol phosphate and potash. In the past coal trains came through too. Gp20c-ecos are used to switch the yard. In Chicagoland metra runs on some of the same tracks. Allowing for potential ai service expansion if Metra makes it's way into the game. The route could also be set in the past before 1985 for Milwaukee road or from about 1985-2000 for soo line.

There are a lot of railfans in the area along the line as well as other Chicagoland routes who would really appreciate a route like this.

CP Rail ES44ACs or SD70ACus (especially the military-liveried versions) would be perfect for the heavy freights. The GP20c-ECOs for switching and maybe an SD40-2 for locals could be included as well. Metra is necessary. I would like the Milwaukee Road version of the route with an SD45, FP45, FM Erie-Built, or other MR locos. A Hiawatha train consist could be included in the MR version. Perhaps an MR Atlantic or F7 Hudson could be included in a steam-era MR route, as well as an S3 Northern.
